These guys are amazing! Extremely patient, and very knowledgeable about all types of shipping. Whenever I have an important document or package that needs to be sent, I only go here. They go above and beyond their mandate. Its a pleasure to deal with them because no where else in Ithaca will you find people who provide such excellent customer service.
A big thank you to the UPS Store on College Ave for designing and printing senior high school sports banners for my son's soccer team. The work was done quickly, for a reasonable price and communication was clear and timely. We have used this store for this project for the last two years and have been very happy.
As an artist I’m always very skeptical of people shipping my art . But I will always ship from this store. They took the extra step to ensure me that my art will be well prepared and safe to ship, and that it was! They are wonderful people and truly understand your needs . I can only recommend this UPS store to everyone! Incredible service and the best and friendliest staff ever. I used the store to ship a total of 11 big boxes including 1 desktop computer and monitor to Vancouver, Canada when I was moving away. Kiran helped me package everything neatly, filled out the necessary paperwork with me which is a lot for international shipments and everything arrived in about 1 week at its destination w/o any issues whatsoever. Highly recommended for shipping your personal belongings when moving! However, this is not the best part: Last week, after ~2 years I called him and asked for copies of the receipts because I needed them. Karin was super helpful and shortly after I received an email with the requested receipts. He even called me to make sure I received his email and make sure this is all I needed. This is above and beyond service! Incredible! Big thanks to Kiran & staff at The UPS Store in Ithaca!
I'm reading these other reviews and wondering if it's the same dingy place in college town filled with empty boxes in all the aisles and with zero parking. We went to return some amazon stuff and 3 of the codes required it to be "customer packaged" which we didn't realize. We had a box but they wouldn't even make an effort to fit the 3 items in, they just wanted to charge $12 for packaging. So we had to lose our place in line, put it in the box ourselves it fit perfectly and then charged us a totally unreasonable $5.93 for a roll of tape to seal it. If they were gracious, they could have used 23 inches of tape to seal our box while we were at the counter, but instead they made the process very difficult for us. If you have other choices for shipping, I'd suggest exploring them first.
Long lines. No parking. Lug your packages across blocks to stand in line. Nice enough staff. I just do not understand how a community of over 100k is expected to use a drop off location the size of a 1bedroom apartment? UPDATE: I have now had a year to plus to review this location. I still feel that the sole UPS location for package drop off for Amazon packages is poorly served by this location, not the staff. The staff is AMAZING. Congenial. Easy going despite having packages up to the ceiling through the store and being in a constant flow of customers. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to drop off packages. Sometimes a lot less. I can’t give 5 stars because of the anxiety I have regularly about parking in Collegetown. But, 4 stars is more legit.
Needed to send a cell phone to my daughter in Spain after hers died. USPS wouldn't take it and FedEx was too expensive. The UPS Store took care of it and assured me that she would get it in a few days and she did!
I don't recommend this place. They wouldn't tape my box with two pieces of tape and instead asked me to purchase a roll of tape. I walked out. Kindness didn't happen here today. I rarely give poor reviews, but this was a ridiculous experience that warranted one. I was here another time and was charged an exorbitant amount for a box even though I brought the package in a proper container for shipment. I chose not to review at that time because I thought maybe I misunderstood their policy, but I now understand that the owners are also price gouging. I went over to UPS at Staples on Meadow St and had no issue. Very easy process there. Others may have a better experience at this store, but I will not be going back.
Stored with them during summer and then needed to extend through the fall semester, and they were so nice about it! They were nice over the phone and in person, and understanding!
I wish I had known of these reviews before using the College location. Please BEWARE! June 23 Dropped off a TV, soundbar, and Roku with pre-paid shipping label no money for them. Because they are the "pros" we paid $75 for packaging. July 11 2 wks+. The package had still not arrived and was nowhere in the UPS system. I contacted the store. The lady said the package hadn't been sent bc they were waiting for the right materials WHAT?, and expected them to arrive the following day. She apologized and thanked me for being patient. But bc we live in FL, we had no real options except to wait it out. July 13 I called back to ensure the package had actually been sent. Yes. July 18 Package FINALLY arrived. Completely damaged I have pictures. When I called the store today July 19, the man hung up on me. I called right back and the lady said that there must be a misunderstanding. He didn't hang up, the phone disconnected by itself. Really? They are taking NO responsibility for the ONE job they were PAID EXTRA to do. NONE!
