First time in the new location. The atmosphere was so nice. The place was packed as it was during the art walk. We made a reservation same day and were still able to get in. I got the breakfast sandwich with mini hash browns, I suggest asking for light garlic aioli. I got it on rye instead of what it normally comes with. My friends each got a salad, they were very pleased with their meals as well. My friend was not crazy about the tomato soup however. We asked the waitress lots of questions and called her over a few times and every time she was very kind, pleasant and attentive. We were very impressed with her.
Oh my goodness I became obsessed with this place as soon as we walked in! It is unique, beautiful, vibrant, .. what a great atmosphere! Wide open space but not too noisy; decorated beautifully while also very comfortable; the staff seemed happy and busy but not stressed; the food was EXCELLENT—especially the Hot & Honey Waffle Sliders yum!!; the iced coffee I got was so good… I can’t say enough good things about it. We look forward to going back to The Twisted Apron at our next visit to Windsor, and trying the other amazing menu items. Thank you so much to our server Lindsey! What a great experience :
We stopped by The Twisted Apron in Windsor for brunch and had a great experience. It was busy, but the wait was under 10 minutes, and the interior felt surprisingly upscale for a brunch spot. Service was friendly and welcoming, which set the tone right away.nnThe classic breakfast with a small stack of pancakes 4/5 is exactly what you want it to be. Well-cooked eggs, generous and perfectly done bacon, and pancakes that lean slightly dry on their own but come together nicely once the maple syrup hits.nnThe halloumi bowl was my favorite dish. Portions are very generous, even the smaller size, and the vinaigrette ties everything together without overpowering it. The halloumi was the highlight and delivered exactly what I was craving. A solid 4/5.nnOverall, The Twisted Apron is a solid brunch spot with good food, efficient service, and a polished feel.
Always good food, always good service. The chicken and waffles are my all time favourite and I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever take it off the menu. The lemon ricotta pancakes are a close second. The specials have always been good whenever I try them too. There’s a large variety of drinks both alcoholic and not, warm and cold. Service is quick and we’ve never been there for more than an hour.nIt’s such a good restaurant for good brunch! Always make sure to show up early if you don’t want to wait. Last time we went, all the tables were full by 9:20am.
I ordered takeout from The Twisted Apron, and the whole process was super easy :just press number 1 for takeout orders after the automated voice. It’s also very convenient to park and pick up since plenty of 30-minute parking spots are available around the corner. The staff were so friendly and helpful when I picked up my food. The Crème Brûlée French Toast was absolutely delicious — sweet, creamy, and full of flavor — and the New York Benny was just as amazing. Even as takeout, everything tasted fresh and perfectly prepared. I’ll definitely be ordering again — and dining in next time to enjoy the full experience!
