Food is great, soups are the highlight of any lunch, and the scones are baked in house and really fluffy. Cranberry scone is my personal favourite. They also sell baked goods and frozen goods to take home. The only downside is a lack of staff at times. Service can be painfully slow when busy, but the ladies are polite and if you're willing to be patient it is worth the wait. If you don't have much time, however, a line or a wait can tend to be on the long side

Good service in getting meals and beverages. Slow at cash out. Food and drink quality is very good. Very small town, down home, quaint feel. Get there early as seating is limited and it is a popular choice. Packed at lunch time. Excellent quiche, salad and soup combos.

The toasted walnut is a very enjoyable place to go for a light lunch! The wrap, tea, and dessert was all very delicious. It was quite busy, but we managed to find a spot okay, although I noticed a few people did not. It is a wonderful addition to the bowmanville neighborhood!

Took my friend for her birthday lunch. Service started out good but after we got our food our server never came back. Not one server paid attention to us for the rest of our visit. No water too up! No offer of dessert. No one took used dishes. We told 2 servers our server had disappeared...it didn't matter. Service was terrible! Can't recommend it!

Cozy, simple spot to either start out your shopping trip downtown or unwind after your errands are done. There's parking near by, and everything you need downtown is right there. I like the coffee, the treats and meals are healthy and I enjoy the rustic yet airy atmosphere.
