The Stout Monk

Not many people when we were seated. Food was pretty good. Steak was cooked nicely but could use a tad more seasoning. The fries and Mac and cheese side were decent! Our server was nice. We got cutlery and side plates after the food was brought to our table. I wanted to get a drink refill and got it at the end of the meal. I think they got slammed all at once. It eventually got pretty busy. Nice atmosphere. The bar stool I was sitting in was really wobbly and I forgot to mention it to the server. Definitely coming back! Love love love the Cauliflower bites! Great drizzle and dipping sauce. The portion is big enough for 4 people to enjoy. Overall, excited to try other things on the menu.

Chicken Buffalo Poutine was very good. A bit more spicy than usual, but delicious. Service good and fast not too many people at the moment I believe cause was afternoon. Will go back to try something different.

I arrived at the Stout Monk, by chance as Holden and I could not decide where to go for dinner to celebrate his new job promotion. After driving around for a bit we found ourselves in the plaza at Neyagawa and Highway 5. Holden proclaimed that he had been advised of the Stout Monk by our other friend Matt. I did some quick research and came to the conclusion that I would be satisfied as a vegan. We parked the car and went in, looking forward to trying the menu. We also noted that out friend Justin recently bought an apartment that is being built across the street. Upon entry we were seated at a table with plain view of two TV screens, both playing the Leafs game. This was absolutely critical. I was also delighted to see other groups seated around us who were also cheering for the leafs. We began by ordering a beer each. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of beers, and I ordered the Cameron's Jurassic and then the Hop Valley Bubble Stash. I always enjoy a heavy beer and these were each enjoyed thoroughly. I ordered the Beyond Meat Burger with fries and a side garden salad. I was quite hungry when I ordered, but I was shocked when my meal arrived and saw the helping of fries accompanying the burger. I barely managed to finish my meal, feeling utterly satisfied. I must again commend the Stout Monk for giving a generous portion of French fries. The burger was quite tasty as well. I am grateful that the stout monk has a vegan option, I urge them to provide more plant based dishes.

The foods awesome , really cool atmosphere, good music . Also theirs lots of tvs for games. Clean bathrooms. 1000 percent coming back with more of my friends and family

Came here for the first time with a friend. We arrived late at night and were accomodated to the outside patio. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Staff was friendly and nice. We ordered the the pierogie flatbread, the cauliflower wings and churros and ice cream for dessert. Staff was very accomodating with mishaps and the cauliflower wings were so delicious and fried to perfection with the thai sauce. Was overall happy with the customer service and food and would be interested in trying other options.

Great local bar. Shawn makes the best old fashion in town. Highly recommended

I was there with my brother, hanging out. Drinks were great, Wings and fries were excellent. The staff behaved really nice and friendly and we had a good time there catching up together. Having Good and energetic vibe , I recommend it for all.

Excellent wings!!! Got the medium breaded! Great chilled atmosphere! It’s my go to!

Had a great time with some friends. We got the spinach and artichoke dip to share for 3 people, which made for a nice appetizer. Afterwards, I got the Mac & Cheese and a Strawberry Daiquiri, my friend got the chicken tenders, and my other friend got an order of the spiciest wings and a Strawberry Daiquiri. I personally enjoyed the Mac & Cheese and the Daiquiri. They were both great. I wish the Daiquiri were a bit bigger for the price, but I can understand the sizes and they aren't a dealbreaker. My friend who got the wings also enjoyed his meal, however, when offered a sample of the sauce, he said yes, and they never gave him it. He was fine in the end, but if he weren't able to handle it, this would have been a massive issue. However the restaurant was loud, so there is a chance the waitress just misheard. Finally, my friend who got the tenders didn't enjoy his meal as much. At the time he was already pretty unexcited by the food, and afterwards his stomach did not feel good. We of course are uncertain if it was the fault of the food here, and it may have been a one-off experience because the rest of the dishes were wonderful. In terms of staff, the person serving our table was perfect. It was a bit slow but that's understandable as there was a lot of people there today. She did an excellent job and I have no issues. And in terms of atmosphere, the restaurant is great. Nothing astounding, but that's fine with me. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. I will most likely consider going back, and recommend others go there if they want a fun night with friends and some enjoyable drinks. I'd give a 4.5* if I could.

Good place to hang out with friends. We ordered Nacho and other finger foods.
