No frills, no garnish; but good. Self serve ordering brought to your table. Good, but not great.

So disappointed this place was sold to new owners!! I frequented this place and ordered the exact same meals. Tip to the new owner: - change your disgusting old oil. We threw out our "home fries" after 2 bites. They use to be way better and CLEAN oil. - Don't raise your prices but cheap out. How are you calling this bacon your ordering...bacon. Used to be the best bacon in town. I would like to give Anna 5 stars for staying there with the new owners. You're a gem and I'm sorry we won't be back again to be greeted by you. 2 stars because our bagels were atleast edible.

I absolutely love Alex diner. I have been coming here since I have been customising my vehicles and it's so close and convenient and Alex and Anna are so friendly and funny. The breakfast special is delicious, potatoes are super crispy and the bacon has a nice sweet taste to it. From Alex to Alex...thanks, I will be a customer forever :

Had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich from here and it was absolutely delicious. The gravy and fries I got on the side were fresh and the whole combo was extremely well priced. Alex is very nice and this place has a great vibe to it. I will be back to try other items on his menu because everything looks amazing. Overall great experience.

This place is a hidden gem for a quick bite whether it be B,L or D. I was super impressed with the quality of the food and they always make my French Fries perfectly crispy. The food I'd fresh, hit and delicious. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the owner and staff are amazingly friendly and offer top quality service. Drop in and try thus place out the next time you are in the area. You will be leaving quite satisfied on all levels. My new go to spot whenever I'm in Oakville in the mornings.

The best part of the restaurant is the chef specials. It switches everyday and you can meet Nick the chef himself who's very friendly and approachable.

What a great little find for breakfast. The food was simple and very tasty. The coffee was very good. The woman who served us was friendly and made us feel welcome. The next time we are in Oakville, we will definitely stop by for a bite.

Great menu, and they really know how to grill! This place is perfect if your in need of a bite to eat.

Even though I’m not a huge soup kinda guy, the chicken soup with buttered bread turned out to be great! I also had the fish & chips which was great too. You can actually spot Alex inside! Good luck man and keep it up

I eat here 3 or 4 times a week the food is always fresh and I like that Nick puts a little spin on old recipes. The customer service is always great. There pulled pork is really good nothing fancy just meat and bun but every time he cooks it I can't help myself.
