Palermo Pub
"The Palermo Pub has been family owned and operated since it opened in 2003, as Jimmy Heroes. As a tribute to the historical area the Pub is located in, the name was changed to Palermo Pub. Palermo Pub is a great place to meet friends, watch the game, have drinks and catch up, or have a delicious meal. Palermo is very family friendly, so bring the kids and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Featuring a variety of menu items, each dish is made to perfection. *Delivery service is available through our third party apps: UberEats and SkipTheDishes. Pretty good wings and nachos, great atmoshere, and service was good. Waitress was attentive, food came out in a reasonable time. Lots of wing flavours, hard to choose but waitress suggests the most popular! Will go back again to try new flavours for sure!
I was in the GTA, in Oakville and randomly stopped at this pub for dinner and drink. Quickly i was impressed by the fun atmosphere, good foods, good drinks, being fully crowded, and above all staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had fish and chips which was really good and to perfection. Be aware, this is a quite small pub, limited sitting, BUT, worth waiting to be seated. To the owners, waitresses, bartenders, big shout out to all of you. Cheers
We've been getting takeout from Palermo pub for the past year so we finally ventured to dine-in. It was last minute group of 8 and they accommodated us without hesitation even though they were pretty busy. Jenna, our server was great despite it being so busy. The food was great, we had miss Vicki's fish and chips, salad and quesadillas and other people had wings and everything was delicious. The miss Vicki's fish and chips is definitely a unique twist on fish and chips I'd definitely eat again. Would recommend this as a local spot to dine in or take out.
Been here more times than I should have and they keep me smiling every single time. I occasionally take my toddler here too, just to keep connected with the community and love how Zena I hope I got the name correctly takes care of her customers so well. All about being part of the community and must say, the food is amazing. Let me recommend the Palermo Nachos for a game night. Huge in terms of quantity and always my favourite. I would however recommend they bring in more locally brewed beer as that would be an icing on the cake. Keep it up Palermo team.
It is an amazing option in Oakville. Their wings are so delicious! The service is fast and friendly. I don't care to drive from far away just to get their food.
Came on a Saturday night for bacon burger and fries. Both were delicious. There was a lineup at the door but the people ahead of us were waiting for their takeout order so we stood behind them and waited longer than we should have. We were told to seat ourselves so we opted for an inside table. Watched a bit of a curling match as well as a cooking show while we ate our burgers. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend.
We did not enjoy our dining experience here for three major reasons. One, the food was not prepared well. Our nachos had cheese that was not melted and toppings were minimal compared to what you get at other pubs like Tin Cup or The Pump and Patio. Wings were cold when they were brought to us. This place is known for their wings so we were excited to try them but they took forever to come out and when they arrived they were cold and hard like they had been sitting out. This brings me to the wait staff. For the entire restaurant on a busy Friday, only two people were there to wait on a full house. I believe my food was cold because the waitress honestly just didn’t bring it when it was first made. Finally, the customer service is nothing compared to other Oakville pubs. It was clear patrons who frequent this restaurant are prioritized. Us newbies were not greeted when we came in. The waitress saw us and ignored us until I approached her to ask if seating was available. She responded in a rude manner saying the wait would be about half an hour and suggested we leave. I almost wish we had but we stayed and were seated within 5 minutes. This waitress made us feel like more of a nuisance then an appreciated paying customer. I should mention, we have young children and I could tell the waitress was less than enthusiastic about having young kids in the restaurant. I will be going to Tin Cup or the Pump and Patio the next time I’m in the mood for pub food. This place does not live up to the hype.
I ordered fish and chips, they don’t give discounts which is ok because I support local businesses. But by saying that I also expect good service. I get no tartar sauce with my fish and chips. Tartar sauce should be priority. Very disappointed. To top it off I tried calling back to let them know, not because I wanted tartar sauce delivered. No answer!!! Really? Last time I order there
Heard about this place’s fries so i decided to give it a shot, especially that my daughter was craving waffle fries. First, I’m glad i got her craving out of the way. I also decided to order some regular fries as well as poutine using waffle fries. All were generally good, especially for the poutine. I think I’ll definitely give it a shot one more time once dining in is open.
We love this place, me and the Mrs go often sometimes with the kids. Nice local people hanging out. Friendly owners and good service. Food is good.
