Great new restaurant in Richmond. Very nice ambience and decor with a nice outdoor patio with sufficient heaters. The location is kind of odd in between an industrial area but also near hotels and River Rock Casino. It's actually good though since it's near a Canada Line Station. There are some free street parking spots but also a parking lot across the street. We went for lunch for my birthday two people, very friendly service. The menu was a good variety of "western" cuisine. The burger I had was very juicy and good toppings with the bacon and onion ring. We also had the beef pappardelle had also really nice flavour and texture for the pasta noodle. We shared the calamari which was light but not dry. They also had a complimentary cheesecake slice because it was my birthday. They also have live music some nights and the dinner menu looks intriguing. Recommended!
Cute little Cafe, perfect for date nights or hanging out with a couple friends. The location is not very big so I would not recommend for parties larger then 4 as it could take along time to get seated. The environment and atmosphere is very chill and relaxing. Service was pretty good as the servers made a screw up but quickly corrected our order. The food was tasty and for the price the portions were decently sized. Worth a try but if you are in the area!
I had been to Story Cafe couple of times for lunch. However, trying out dinner is my first time. Been there for music night last Thursday. Overall atmosphere is good. My hubby and I ordered Clam Chowder Soup as starter followed by Sable Fish and Beef Wellington. They are exceedingly good especially beef wellington is highly recommended. We ended our dinner with a slice of cheese cake which tastes great. Overall speaking, my hubby and I had enjoyable evening.
So we went there for breakfast yesterday and it’s best to get there early as they fill up quick but for good reason! The food there is phenomenal! I ordered the Chicken French Toast and my better half ordered pork belly and bean casserole. That chicken with the French toast is to die for! To be completely honest, the French toast itself was okay but the chicken is what made it stand out. Together was a perfect combination. The staff there is super friendly and super attentive. Olivia took care of us and she was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, didn’t rush us and we really appreciated that. Even the young lady who seated us was so kind and always smiling. Highly recommend!
This restaurant has a great atmosphere as well as great selections for brunch or other meals. They have the theme of story which is seen in their decor and their menu. The memorabilia on the walls adds a great touch. The server was really helpful and gave good recommendations as to what to have and was helpful in aiding my decision. They have a great patio which is dog friendly as well. A great spot and I look forward to visiting again.
Excellent service with friendly staff. The cafe itself has a unique aesthetic with a heated patio area available. Extensive menu option and we’re so glad our waitress recommended the Eggs in Purgatory must try!! Although I’ve heard great things about the chicken and waffles, the eggs in purgatory took the show today. They make excellent lattes as well.
Very nice little cafe and eatery! The decor is welcoming and the high ceilings make it feel nice and open even though it's not a huge space. There's also heated, covered outdoor patio seating. The food was yummy and the portion was large. I ordered the chicken and french toast, and the fried chicken was probably the largest piece of boneless fried chicken I've ever had! The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside but not thickly battered, very nice. I was most impressed with the service. Servers and host were friendly and prompt. All the staff were full of smiles and kept my glass of water filled even though I sat for quite a long time without ordering as I waited for a friend. There was a line to get a table but they take your number and text you when your table is ready. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
I would never have found this restaurant if it wasn't for my friend, and I am really glad to find this place. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles and onion rings I ordered. The chicken was surprisingly big and there was a decent amount of onion rings too. Did I mention that they also serve sparkling water? The quality of the food here is overall fantastic. The atmosphere and decorations in the restaurant is also very nice.
Had breakfast here and we really enjoyed the food and coffee. The cafe was well decorated, staff friendly and the food was delectable plus decently priced. Overall commendable and a cafe that I wouldn’t mind re-visiting. Perfect place for comfort food. If you’re in the Richmond area, definitely worth dropping in. Eggs in Purgatory is a must.
Very quaint restaurant, hidden near River Rock casino. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and tasty. I definitely would go back to try the Summer Special 55oz Tomahawk steak. Sounds like it's well worth the price. Parking: There's a few spots in the front, more on the side, and a few in the back. Lots of free parking.
