Not a bad little place. Their salad bar was decent. The sandwiches don't normally come toasted but they were happy to toast mine when I requested it. Sandwich was very dry, it needed mayo or something added to it. I would not recommend their iced tea, it tastes fermented. Very friendly staff. I wish they would play some music or something because it is dead quiet in there except for the sound of the cooler running. Not wheelchair accessible.
We had a great whiskey steak chili. It was filled with lots of ribeye steak pieces and cheese on top. My wife an I we shared a large bowl of it. The beer on tap was Blue Moon. What size, pint only was served with a slice of orange in it. It tasted good with the shared bowl of chili. Dollar bills seems to be a main theme on the walls. You could put your own dollar bill there, too!
I feel like this place used to be better. I ordered the turkey sandwich and broccoli cheese soup and hubby got the roast beef sandwich with split pea soup. The soup used to be unlimited before covid so the servings seemed small for the price we paid. The soups were just so-so and the sandwiches were average. With that plus two fountain drinks, it was $54, which seemed a little high. Service was good and staff was nice. Remember to order before you sit down! Luckily, I knew that. I probably will go to other restaurants before I come here again, though
Chefs choice, Baked Potato Soup, was delicious!! Salad bar was top notch clean with fresh choices! Bavarian pretzel was large enough for all five of us! Staff was busy, busy and we were very well taken care of!! Hardest part was finding the entrance from Google maps leads you the back way and we never saw a sign for the back door in the alley save time and enter from Front!! Would highly recommend and will visit again for sure!!
Leavenworth is expensive with a lot of heavy foods. The Soup Cellar provides a nice change of pace. It is located right on Front Street with all of the shops and restaurants. It’s a friendly little place with good soups, wraps, and sandwiches. I had a hot turkey and Swiss with fries, and it hit the spot. The staff was friendly and efficient, and it was reasonably priced. I will stop back by the Soup Cellar on my next visit!
Pretty nice place to grab a soft pretzel and a pind of hofbrau lager that's on tap. The beer was pretty amazing, the food was pretty alright. My daughter really liked her soup and sandwich, the soft pretzel was pretty good, the beer cheese was as alright, the $15 chili cheese dog was probably more than unreasonable, but you only live once, amirite?
I believe this was the only restaurant in all of Leavenworth, on a basement level that had an elevator that went down to it's dining area. The German potatoe salad was tasty as were the sausage. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator that can take you down into the dining area.
Walk in, seat yourself, and come up to the counter to order sounds like a good idea. But there was no space for an ordering line to form, and the register was right next to the door which added chaos. Cashier wasn't good at assigning table numbers, which led to a confused waitress. Food was served lukewarm and not worth the price, wish I waited in line for Munchen Haus.
We appreciated the military discount. Good lunch spot. Reasonable prices. Pretty fast food.
They were able to accommodate our party of 11 with no wait. The order process and seating was quick and efficient. The food was excellent. I do recommend the wisky chili.Food: 5/5
