3.5 stars because it was pretty okay. The food was good. Rhein Haus wasn’t something that absolutely wowed me or my family in any way. We got a variety of foods but they were moderately priced for the area which was a plus. They have the foods the other restaurants also offer in the area. The balcony view was awesome. The only plate that wasn’t worth getting were the sausage fries, can’t remember the name. It had spicy catchup, a sausage and a spice on it. The fries were great as a side itself, I wouldn’t order that again personally.
Beautiful Location overlooking the city from a vantage point. Super fast service, superb beer and great food! They have pretty large seating area, both indoors and outdoor. We didn’t even have to wait to get seated. The moment you walk in, you put in an order and get to the seats. The beer arrives in minutes and in sometime the food. We had a great experience. Much recommended.
Rhein Haus is best enjoyed with outdoor seating! Beautiful ambiance. Smell the fresh mountain air and the colorful lights as you enjoy your drinks/food. The lamb and beef doner with chips/fries was good. Fish and chips were so-so. Big Pretzel was delicious! My friends really enjoyed the huckleberry cider, beers and hot cocoa. Will come back for the ambiance !
Great location and food! Since it was beautiful weather we sat outside on the deck and could see out into downtown and mountains in distance. You get placed at a table then line up to order. Staff very friendly! We each enjoyed our food. Giant pretzel was super fluffy not hard and had good dips- can order chocolate one as add-on. I had the Munich- delicious combo of meat/cheese/crispy onions. I add their house sweet & hot mustard wasn't very spicy. Had quite few options for beers or other cocktails - pilsner okay, but really liked the watermelon flavored beer. Only downside was the 1 bathroom and it wasn't kept clean smelled a bit. Weirdly they played country music.
Came because the other local Haus was busy. Views from the patio are nice overlooking the town. Brats were decent, fries were excellent with a good crunch. Nice to be able to find a good kolsch. The pretzel however was a flop. Flavor was very buttery and reminded me of an auntie Anne's pretzel, although it was also extremely dry. Beer cheese had a good beer flavor to it but the consistency was a bit too cheese fountain, also couldn't save the dry pretzel. Can't really call yourself the 'best pretzel in town' with that sadness.
Great patio, and plenty of seating. Food was okay. The first time I had gone, I had a burnt pretzel. The 2nd time was better, but thinking I could have found a better pretzel. Great spot for people watching in Leavenworth. Beers are good.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
At the heart of Leavenworth with excellent views is one of the more updated restaurants. This place has a great balcony area with plenty of fire pit tables to keep you warm on colder days. The food is pretty good too. We had their goulash, fish & chips, brussel sprouts, and kids' chicken tenders. The fries are excellent, crispy and possibly battered they were amazing. The fish was also very good but incredibly hot so give it a minute to cool down. The Brussel sprouts had a wonderful balsamic drizzle that was nice. One of the better-priced places to eat around here with an updated feel and vibe.
Rhein Haus has an amazing outdoor seating area, delicious, authentic German food, and the nicest staff! We stopped by on a trip to Seattle, and I cannot wait to come back! The best bier, bratwurst, and Glühwein I’ve ever had.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
This is probably one of my favorite places in Leavenworth. The beer is amazing as well as the food. The street view doesn’t get much better. They have fire pits at the tables and heating towers for when it’s cold out as well. The brats are very good and so are the pretzels. Highly recommend visiting here!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Love the outside seating with such a beautiful view. At night or when it's chilly I also enjoy the ambiance and warmth of the tabletop fires. The food here is decent & the cocktails are fantastic I'm in love with the "Practical Magick", it was superb and so pretty . Our favorite items are the "Haus Giant Pretzel" with the 3 dips & obviously the sausages with kraut & seasoned fries. My only beef is I wish they'd stop putting undrained sauerkraut on a plate with crispy fries and the sausage bun so I get soggy kraut flavored everything. It's not that hard to drain kraut, and I seriously hate wet bread and fries. There are a few decent vegetarian offerings as well, including falafel, a veggie burger, and the "veggiewurst" which looks kinda' unappetizing but actually has great flavor. I just wish they offered more mustards and toppings for the sausages like Munchen Haus has.
