The Sea Shanty Fish & Chips

Excellent first experience definitely not the last at Sea Shanty. Happened to be a Tuesday when we stopped in for take-out, so we had the special. Well worth trying. Very generous portion of fish with a delicious crispy battery. Accompanied by a large serving of very good fries. Next time I think we'll dine in for best experience of fish right away, hot from the fryer. I wish I'd thought to take a picture to show large the portion was, but the delicious smell and a desire to eat it while was hot was overwhelming. Friendly staff, good service and obviously quality ingredients make this a great place to check out when next you desire fish & chips.

When I first heard that Sea Shanty opened back up I was so excited. I haven’t had a chance to try it until today & I am so happy they are back! Portions are large, yes prices have gone up but whose hasn’t in these times? I’m happy spending my extra few dollars to support good people & good food. The lovely lady gave us a free bag of homemade in-house chips, as well as a plate of them while we waited. If you’re looking for great quality, local fish & chips, this is the place!

We have been to Sea Shanty a few times now and it is consistently good! Fish is cooked really well with a light and crisp batter. Portion sizes are just right. The staff are awesome, and super friendly. Our two daughters asked if they have colouring sheets, they didn't but found them pen and paper and promised if we came back they would have something for next time. Sure enough, when we returned last week they remembered us and promptly came by with a fun little activity sheet and crayons much to the girls delight. Top notch customer service and great food! We’ll be back soon!

Five stars! The food presentation is superb with very charming plating; not to mention the food itself is a winner. The fish batter is flaky and light yet still crunchy and the fries are fresh and thick. Service is great and food is delivered quickly. The in-house tartar sauce is a definite must try! Would definitely be back again.

First time going here and have great friends to share it with. The staff were great and the food was very good. I would definitely come back and try other dishes in the menu. I ordered Fisherman’s supper and if your very hungry, this is the dish to get. Great food, its a must have for late night dinner with family and friends/coworkers.

Im not the one to leave a review but in this case I had to, this is my first review I’ve ever done. This was my first time trying Sea Shanty’s fish and chips, I purchased a Halibut and chips on the way home from my work and when I got home and opened the container I felt so disappointed and taken advantage of I couldn’t believe for $20 I got the smallest portion of fish and chips I’ve ever gotten before in my life, I’ve eaten fish and chips all over the GTA for the last 30 years and usually a fish and chip place your expecting a big peace of fish and lots of fries. This place was the complete opposite. This will be the first and last time I purchase anything from there a establishment . This picture shows you what $20 gets you .

Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! They offer cod, haddock and halibut. I had the haddock for under $20 taxes included and it was not fishy at all, very fresh. But the best part was the batter, it was super crunchy, light and airy. They do their own tatar sauce in house and cut their own fries; it's thick cut which goes so well with their viscous gravy! Thanks for the helpful and friendly service too!

Best fish and chips in Burlington! After my usual spot closed down I was happy to find this gem. Food is great, prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good. They make their own tartar sauce which I love. The new owners are so nice and the service and food is great!

Ordered a little while back and absolutely loved it - big portions of fish and fries and, most importantly: it tasted great. Owner was lovely as well and though I was only doing take-out, the inside of the restaurant was quaint and clean. Support local business and drop by!

Amazing hidden gem. The fried were perfection. I got the haddock and that was also amazing. It was clear from the atmosphere and how the employees acted thay they took great pride in their product. Will definitely go again whenever i am in the area!Food: 5/5
