Small restaurant, nothing fancy but surprisingly good food. We had Chinese soup, rose sauce pasta and hot wings.. everything was really good. The server was helpful and quick. We would love to visit again. The kids had a great time. Kid-friendliness: Kids Menu Available and good options along with that our server provided colouring sheet and color
Great location very welcoming. I had a new server who made a few mistakes and waited about 10 minutes for her to serve us. The manager? Was fantastic and fixed everything for us. Great portions. Food was pretty good. Would return if we had a different waitress. Bathrooms were clean. Hand sanitizer when you walk in. You can sit inside or on the patio.
Warm and relaxing ambiance for friends, families, or really anyone. The patio was the only part opened when we went and we were able to sit without a wait. The ordering process was pretty quick and our server checked on us often. Their menu was limited though. You would ask for something and they would tell you they either didn't have it or only had one available. Fully understandable considering Covid, but also a bit disappointing. We all tried various meals from the bruschetta, to the french onion soup, to the quesadilla and the the roast beef sandwich. Overall the food was okay but we felt it lacked depth in flavour. It could be improved upon. Overall, a nice and very cheap place to go with kid-friendly options after a day at Safari Niagara. Just could be improved a tad.
I stopped in and picked up a toasted western and a corn beef on rye sandwiches for lunch for my husband and I. It is not a very large place but the food, atmosphere and the service are good. Prices are better in comparison to some of the larger establishments in the region. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to have a nice relaxing meal. In warmer temperatures, they have a screened patio as well as outdoor seating. Kid-friendliness: I noticed that there were kid options on their breakfast menu. My son occasionally takes his twins here for a meal. Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking and no stairs to deal with.
Been a while since we visited and will be a while again. Sorry Scuttlebutt but we were really disappointed. The clam chowder was really clam “flavoured” and serving the cellophane sleeve of crackers with twisted end was a little tacky. We were there on a Friday so Fish and Chips was ordered, but disappointed. Asked for a side of mayo with the BLT and was given some kind of salad dressing. Even asking for it to be replaced, still pretty sure it wasn’t “real” mayo. Like I said, sorry Scuttlebutt but the food was a big fail! The Brimstone beer was awesome as always!
Truly awful service and food. Waitress was fine but we waited 45-50 minutes for one cup of soup and a bacon and cheese sandwich. There were maybe three other tables in there...not busy. The beef soup was disgusting...just big chunks of potato, two tiny morsels of shredded beef that I actually had to search for and one slice of carrot. The sandwich was burned and greasy. The coffee was common awful diner coffee. The place is also very cramped for those of you concerned about sitting close to strangers these days. I would never go back nor recommend this place to anyone! Thank goodness we didn't waste our money on dinner.
Had a great lunch at Scuttlebutt with my Nan today. Got the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken fingers. Food was great! A couple nice refreshing lemonades with free refills was a plus! Had to try the white sangria, which wasn’t a typical white sangria but was a very well balanced, tasty cocktail to enjoy with my lunch! Service was good, clean little restaurant with a cozy atmosphere! A bit of a description on menu items would be helpful for newcomers but still great regardless! Will be returning next time I’m in town!
The food and the service were great. All was fresh and delicious.
What an awesome little spot. Food was fantastic. Only reason for only 4 stars, our server never brought us our second round of drinks when we ordered them. Definitely will be back!
Best onion rings ever! Great prices and good service. Small town charm!
