Great little samosa shop. They were in the middle of a renovation so I cant really judge the overall aesthetics of the place. The food was very good though. I had ordered their veg, chicken and beef samosas. All of them were great but I would say the beef one was the best. The service was also very pleasant as the women working the cash was very informative as to what the store offered. My only complaint is that the variety of samosa's isnt what I expected considering the name of the store is the samosa shop. I would love it if they tried out other fillings spinach and cheese, butter chicken, chilli chicken samosas. For now they just have the 3 flavours. Overall a pleasant experience and will be back to visit them when the renos are done.
Visited this place a few days ago and even though I don't do many reviews I thought my experience there was good to the point I should share. Firstly, there are two things I think that make this place stand out: 1 they make samosas fresh to order - this is unlike any place else in Ajax/Durham where they mostly have samosas in a warmer. From the time you order to the time you are served is less than 5 mins, but the freshness is so worth it. The outside crust turns out just the way you want a samosa to be - nice and firm, but not crumbly. 2 their service - the smiles, their attention to detail, the samples while you wait - for a small samosa shop in a relatively busy plaza, these traits are definitely a standout. I also like that they've changed around the flavours a bit - the beef is the highlight. This is probably the difference this time between the other times I've visited since 2018. They're also VERY CLEAN. This is also unlike most other restaurants in the area where you see grease marks everywhere and where I think their meticulous attention to detail is shown. Some negatives: 1 More variety - I think they're probably headed in the right direction here so I didn't dock any stars. 2 Location - I wish this was located closer to my house!! I do work in the area, but it would be great to have my family/friends try this out as well
The guy at the front counter was very friendly, we had a nice chat about different types of samosas from around the world. He was telling me about how their samosas was filled with real ingredients and a homemade recipe, he was really selling it. So I was excited, I got 2 beef, 2 chicken and 2 vegetable. It took about 10-12minutes for them to prepare the samosas, it smelled delicious, but when I got home 5 min I noticed that 3 of the 6 had partially burned, do you deep fry or pan fry? The filling was exactly as described, but without flavour. Anyway I have to say with regret that these samosas where not for me, I'm sure your many other customers will enjoy them.
Just visited this samosa shop which apparently is under new management, and i can tell these new guys are pros. Their customer service is on another level, and they took a lot of care in making my samosas taste amazing. Apparently, theyre trying new recipes and new flavors, as i was waiting they asked me if i would like to sample, and what i tasted was out of this world. I will definitely b back.
Very fresh. Very tasty. Not so spicy at all. Great customer service. Very friendly nice owners. The meat is packed nicely into the samosas. They use all white chicken breast as well.
This place is fantastic. Fresh samosas made while you wait 5 minutes. They have free samples to nibble on. Great vegetarian options, friendly staff. Definitely coming back!
The samosa was prepared as you order it. Hot and fresh!! That is also the downside at the same time since you have to wait for quite some time. The menu is really limited, you get to choose beef, chicken or veggie. Otherwise great little samosa place.
Best Samosa Shop I have ever been to. They make the Samosa's fresh for you as soon as you order. Owner is an awesome guy. And there sauce is perfect. They offer vegtable, chicken, and beef with an option for both mild and spicy. I love the beef Samosa's best.
WOW! Definatley a wonderful experience. My wife Zahra brought home an assortment of these delicious triangular pockets of tastiness. Not a single on was over/under cooked and each one was bursting with its own unique flavourfulness. The prices are good too. It could be a quick snack, a real crowd/family pleaser or a major party/event being catered with trays of these amazing samosas. Run, don't walk down to the Samosas Shop.
What a great little place food is full of flavor tastebuds will enjoy it it want something a little different from the usual this is the place to try friendly owner great cook again great place to try out I definitely would try it if you want your taste buds to try something different definitely go to this place money-wise very inexpensive fill your tummy with good stuff try it
