The Salvation Army Thrift Store

This is one of the best thrift stores I have visited. Unfortunately, I did not catch the name of the woman who assisted me, but she provided exceptional service. I typically frequent this store on a monthly or bi-weekly basis. I have donated gently used clothing that I no longer wear or items that remained unworn. It is satisfying to declutter my closet and replenish it. Sometimes if you lucky enough your even find big band names.

I’m a frequent visitor to this thrift store. Despite its small size, the store offers a surprisingly wide selection, and I almost always find something worth purchasing.nnGenerally, the staff are friendly, but I had a disappointing experience yesterday. When I approached the checkout counter, it felt like I was interrupting a personal conversation between the store manager, Sarah, and a teen staff member with red hair. Neither of them greeted me, and I was met with what felt like glares rather than a welcoming attitude.nnSarah folded only two of the shirts I purchased then stopped as soon as the receipt came out, leaving the rest of the clothes in an unfolded pile so that she could return back to her conversation, while I was still at the counter.nnI understand that chatting with coworkers is normal, but when a customer is present, attention should shift back to the job. Taking a brief moment to acknowledge and assist a customer properly isn’t asking much.

I have been shopping in the Streetsville store for many years. I had a upsetting experience today. I brought the active wear pants to the front for payment. The price tag was stuck tightly to the strings of the pants,. But when I tried to untie the strings, the tag was accidentally detached. I did that in front of the sales assistant. She said she didn't see that and the pants needed to be repriced. The price went up from $5.99 to $9.99 after the reprice in 15 minutes. It is unbelievable because I took the pants that were brought out to the store15 minutes ago. I am disappointed that the sales values $4 over the words of a frequent customer. Why would I lie about the $4, given that I donated $500 to the Salvation Army last year?

I really love coming here especially when looking for bow ties because they're not too shabby considering the price. I spoke to some really kind staff members down there and they informed me that you can receive discounts if you donate some items to the salvation army behind the store. this place is amazing for find great items for low price and actually making a difference.
