This has always been a favorite store. I love it! But honestly there are a few staff members that no longer work there and they were half.the reason I shop here. The atmosphere is no longer the same nor is the quality of merchandising/displays and organization that would pull you towards items and keep you wandering looking for more treasures. I am a cancer patient and not very mobile and shopping today I was in terrible.need of a.washroom. There was only 1 employee at cash with customers and nobody else.on the floor. I made my way to the back and hollered hello a few times politely. Finally someone popped there up and I asked if there was a restroom available. I understand staff only washrooms and definately dont want strays off the street coming in to use lavoritory. But It is painfully obvious Im not well and sometimes we as.people can make a.judgemwnt call and even ask if someone is alright. I wasntild to go.out frobt doors and down a way. I left anfriend to pay for my items and went outside to throw up. Hmmmm I wonder if a Parent had a 4 year old.that needed to go pee if theybwoyld ve sent off as well. Just saying. Nit everybsituation is the same and those little things sometimes are everything. I used to shop here and gonin for 1 o 2 items and always left buying a cart full. Notnsouch anymore at all. Not due to product but the lack of good feelings when I leave. Will still go there but the excitement about going there is gone.
I absolutely love shopping here! Even though there are no dressing rooms, you have 15 days to exchange - bonus. Staff are amazing, friendly & fun!
Crazy expensive, low selection- selling tiny Lego pieces in ziploc bags in the showcase for $20 a bag? Kids clothes outrageous prices. I thought you guys were supposed to be helping people?
This is a staff friendly store with very reasonable prices for a thrift store
I cannot express how wonderful the manager and staff are, especially Melissa! The friendly and professional manner of these people are by far the best! I had a problem and the impeccable way it was handled made my heart melt! The prices and gems I find there are reason enough to keep me coming back but this particular store is now #1 on my places to shop.
I was in a couple of times last week, as I really like this location. When I asked about a about a staff member that was always very friendly and helpful, I was told that person was let go bc of not being vaccinated, even though anybody can shop there vaccinated or not. I thought the S.A. was a caring, non judgmental, charitable organization. Apparently this isn't so. Shame on you Salvation Army, for discrimination and putting people out of work!! I won't be back.
Nice employees. A bit understaffed. Not many people in store. People kept their distance. May 2022- Still a good spot but the prices have gone up. These things are donated!
When I lived in Halifax 20 years ago , this was one of my favourite second hand shops to go to. I have to say I was surprised at how much the prices have changed. There is a Salvation Army in the town I live in now. And there is a huge price difference. Disappointed that you cannot use the change rooms. And even more disappointed that they do not have one mirror anywhere for you to hold up the clothing to look at yourself. At least it's good to know that the Salvation Army has always help out their community
Classic sally anne thrift hunting paradise. Everything from books clothes toys pots pans trinkets treasures and housewares cheap as fawk . Been loving thrift stores since the 80s and this is like a time warp back to them good old days . Highly reccomended . Never crowded. Decently priced with a few exceptions.
If you have time to really dig around you can find some real treasures. Always enjoy getting great stuff for very little money
