The Root Restaurant & Bar

I enjoy the Root restaurant menu selections that are based on food ingredients acquired from Michigan. Many of the selections are comfort food and are delicious nicely prepared with great presentation. I recently had the Fried Chicken entree that included mashed potatoes, it was delicious. I normally do not eat fried food but this I could not resist. Enjoying the atmosphere is an experience in itself. Nicely designed interior with a contemporary flair, with wood accents that relate to a farm. The restaurant has a really nice bar, and the drink selection is first class. The Root Restaurant is a notch above the other nearby restaurants.

The food here was really good and I loved that our waiter was educated on what he was serving us. He gave us honest opinions and explained our options simply. It made the overall experience very enjoyable.

I LOVE this place. This is my favorite restaurant. Ignore all the negative reviews. Amazing quality food, healthy, made from scratch. I cant get over the chef's and bar tenders creativity. What they put together is amazing. Great service. Give it a try.

Atmosphere: cozy, well maintained, unique. Service: friendly, fast, helpful Food: good quality. Portions are a bit small on certain items (like the scallops and the bri). The banana cream pie is amazing! Best I've ever had! Price: definitely on the expensive side. But you are guaranteed good food, service, and memorable experience

Loved everything about this place! Even the bathroom was cool. Our waiter was great! Everything we tried was delish! If you love fruity cocktails, and it's avaliable, I highly recommend the Hendrix.
