The Pickle Barrel

Came here to do a pick up. Staff is completely useless, extremely slow and acted as if they were in a complete daze. Not professional staff and act as if they don’t want to be there. Made me wait much longer then normal and there wasn’t even anyone in the restaurant. Slow slow slow. They are clearly not on their A game in this place. The reviews speak for themselves and I would avoid this place until they can drastically improve there customer service and dining experience. Solid 1 star place. If you’re reading this and still going to go here, then good luck, guess you ain’t as smart as you look.

Went here with my wife and 2 kids, for the price that they're charging the food is fair, it's a friendly, family safe environment, it's casual and has a good breakfast menu too. My wife and I ordered the glow bowl and meatloaf, the glow bowl was great and it was a healthy choice. My kids both got large milkshakes and a dessert, a very good family dining place, will be coming back for more!!

Yesterday I went to the Pickle Barrel at the promenade mall and the food and service was excellent, Jessie is a friendly exceptional waiter, the seafood linguine was amazing, tons of quality seafood and the pasta quality was delicious. The menu has improved and the variety is expectional. Well done Mark W.

Been going there on and off for 5 years. Over the 5 years, it hasn’t been spectacular, but recently it hit a new low. It has been poor in terms of service for sure and food quality slightly. I was so livid about my recent dinner there... long wait while entire section closed. Orders came with items missing. No follow-ups at all to refill water. 20 min to get the bill. First floor washroom door would not close, no soap in Men’s downstairs washroom. Complaints from the 3 tables around me as well regarding service or food quality. Will not go back... after 5 years of being a customer.

Sad to report that we will not be coming back to this once favored dining destination of ours. We were seated reasonably quickly, which was about the only thing timely on our visit ... We were wedged in between two tables with not much breathing room in between. No server came to us for over 10 minutes. Server seemed to be new and completely out of his element. Son's chicken fingers were several shades darker than normal, indicative of being fried in old oil. Daughter's Chicken Fajitas came with two folded dried tortilla shells that couldn't be rolled up completely. I ordered the BBBLT with a Super Food Salad on the side, took a few bites of the salads and found the greens tasted old and stale, switched it out for the Brew City Onion Rings which were thankfully OK. Did not receive the drinks we ordered until after we reminded him as our entrees arrived. Had to ask twice for the kids' drinks as well. Wife reported issues as well in the women's bathroom downstairs, paper towels on the floor and malfunctioning faucets.
