I recently stayed at the Otesaga Resort Hotel following my wedding in a nearby town. It was the best place to decompress after a fun and hectic weekend! Easily walkable to downtown, and we enjoyed the breakfast great quality for the value. The room we booked was huge and the beds very comfortable. While we didn’t get to enjoy the fireside bar, the views were spectacular. We will hopefully be back to celebrate future anniversaries.
Stopped in this lovely historic hotel for a drink on the patio after a day of exploring Cooperstown. You were not hotel guest, but would love to come back in the future to experience the hotel. Excellent service on the patio with the beautiful view of the lake. They had an appetizer menu with some tasty treats to go along with the drinks. Very helpful concierge in the lobby gave us some points and tips of things to do in the area
We stayed in a suite, it was expensive but gorgeous. We loved the view of the lake! Everyone was kind and helpful. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean. It has the best water pressure I've ever encountered at a hotel.nnThe only downside was that we ordered a to-go dessert at the grill and it wasn't included. They said they couldn't check out the order to see if we had been charged for it or not and hadn't given us a receipt.nnBesides that everything was wonderful!
Great hotel. Friendly service. Nice rooms but on small side. Well appointed. Your of hotel by concierge was well done. Sitting out on the veranda in the evening was splendid. Parking was a bit distant.Front door staff were welcoming and informative.
This resort once was great, but really needs updating and more importantly higher quality staff. Amanda and Jennifer at the front desk, did not greet us, unwelcoming, computer was down couldn’t check us in. Peggy at the Hawkeye Grill was bothered by us even asking for a table. It was about 5:30pm, and 90% empty, she was annoyed when we asked for a table. Very average food, slow service. The best employees that we encountered were Daniella house keeping and the young bellman that used to be a teacher. Great views on the property but very much below average service!!
