Mohican Motel

Nice cozy and clean place. Front desk was very welcoming. Location is excellent. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Cooperstown.

Very disappointed. My daughter and I stayed here the night before her National History Day competition. Upon arrival, there was a musty smell in the room but not a big deal. The room was quite clean. Everything was fine until we were awakened around midnight by a very bad smell. The smell made my daughter nauseous. We ended up trying to "sleep" in my car. It was a chilly night and we didn't get much sleep. When I told the owner about it in the morning, the only response I got was, "Thanks for letting me know". It would have been a pleasant trip if not for this experience.

Convenient location. Great shower, good hot water. Needs updating like laminate floor instead of old carpet. Can't get your money back with a 48 hour notice

I had my experience with the Mohican Motel when in Cooperstown for the National History Day state competition. We were just settling into bed when the most atrocious scent seemed to seep from the walls, and it became so unbearable that we spent the night freezing in our car. When morning came, we had to plug our noses to prepare for the day and fetch our belongings, only able to run into our room for a minute or two without being completely nauseated. The entire ordeal was horrid.
