Story

Starting from scratch at 4am every morning, we BBQ only enough food for the day, so get it while it's hot! Using recipes and techniques that we've learned from the world famous pit-masters of Saint Louis, Missouri, we bring Missoula the BBQ it deserves. With recipes that have won awards nationwide, been featured on The Travel Channel and Food Network, and have recently earned our sister restaurants, Pappy's Smokehouse and Bogart's Smokehouse, the title of Best BBQ in North America, we bring the best of America's favorite cuisine to you.

Food was outstanding. We picked the Pit Master Platter- highly recommend. Perfect amount for 4 people wanting to try a little of everything. Staff helped us pick our meats and sides. Didn’t get to try the ribs but will be back! “Killa Bees” sauce was the perfect balance between savor and spicy. Also really liked the deviled egg potato salad.
Staff was very friendly and helpful explaining their menu and options after asking if we had eaten there before. I am not a big fan of counter service restaurants, but recognize that must smoke house BBQ places are. This was different though. After taking our order they let us get our drinks and delivered the food to us at the table we chose. They checked back periodically to see if we needed anything and made sure that we were happy with the food. Also, I appreciated that although served “family style” with the meat all on one tray, they provided individual trays to eat off of rather than expecting us to use paper towels as plates. And they came around to clear things as we finished with them. The suggested tip is much more appropriate than at most counter service restaurants where I begrudge it.nnSpeaking of the food, the man taking our order said that the ribs were what they were really known for, so we got a full slab 12 bones to split between us and a combo of 9 oz of Brisket. It came with two sides and we added two more as well as 9 oz of Burnt Ends.nnThe ribs were very tender and had BBQ beautifully baked on. I normally had to add sauce to my ribs, but ate half with no extra sauce, but then decided that their “Killa Bee” sweet and spicy sauce was worth the effort to add.nnThe baked beans were much more flavorful than most places. I generally add BBQ to the beans, but these needed nothing else.nnThe jalapeño corn bread was good as was the brisket chili. The street corn would have been better warm. When I eat here again and I will I’ll see if they can warm it.
Yep! It’s as good as they say! Fresh meat, great sauces, good beer at fair prices, couldn’t ask for anything more in a damn good BBQ joint! JUST GO! You won’t regret it, and they let your furry friend on the patio! Thank you to this dog friendly spot!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. We got a 1/2 rack of ribs and 1/2 chicken and they threw some turkey because the chicken was on the smaller side. Get here early if you can. They ran out of brisket. So it must be good.
Good food and good barbecue. Prices are fair for the portions but I would want just a mouthful or two more of meat. The sides were delicious! Great service with a customizable menu gives you many options to mix and mingle you meats. The table features 3 different bbq sauces and a mustard sauce. All the sauces are excellent. I would recommend the tri-trip when coming here.
