Story

By utilizing the abundance of Montana’s naturally grown food sources, we aspire to offer the best tasting food possible while also supporting the local economy, reducing the amount of resources required in the transportation process, as well as minimizing the amount of agricultural chemicals released into our environment.

Wanted an easy, nice Friday dinner. Got something so much better! Adam at the bar was so attentive and kind, we were never rushed or pressured (and we were there a while!). Tremendous apps, phenomenal entrees and the perfect cardamon creme brulee for desert! Excellent

I ate there years ago and it was fantastic. I can tell it still is...not too pricey, yet the menu appeals to foodies like me. I hear the burger is divine...the ambiance is warm, not stuffy. You can take your drink outside and sit by the fire. Very romantic...

Booked a reservation for a Thursday evening a few weeks back. The initial bar area seemed lively and perfect for a more upbeat gathering of friends, but I'm glad we booked in advance for the back dining area. The staff was extremely helpful on menu options without ever being pushy, and had excellent time awareness throughout the night. The food itself was great - the girlfriend and I shared the Charcuterie board which would make a perfect item if you're just there for drinks. The main BBQ course was cooked very well and the sauces unique. Don't be fooled by the fine dining tag - we dropped 80 dollars for two which included an appetizer, two separate meals, a shared dessert, and a flight of wines and an ale. You could easily pay that at the new Cinema in town between one meal each and popcorn after tickets. If you're in the mood for a special intimate dining experience or a fancy lounge with friends, Red Bird is in the top tier of Missoula.

The Red Bird Wine Bar is by FAR my favorite place to eat and drink in Missoula. They have a great selection of wine and a killer ambiance. Breaking away from the generic Missoula standard for unremarkable restaurants, the food here reflects the owners' passion for cooking and is interesting and artful. Seriously, at this time I consider all of the other places in town a variation on a bar-food theme. Their wait-staff also are professionals. I do not have to look for my waiter or waitress ever. They seem to magically appear when I need them but otherwise are non intrusive. I hope they start a trend. I want more places like these!
