The Munroe Inn

Dog friendly and friendly dog at this wonderful inn. We had the most delightful time here. The inn itself is festooned with incredible art and beatutiful furniture. The room we stayed in was charming and comfortable with a gorgeous stained glass window. The location was perfect for the genealogical and historical research my wife and I were conducting in and around Auburn (and for easy access to great restaurants). The breakfasts prepared by Olga our host were creative, delicious and locally sourced. Most important for us was what a friendly and informative host Olga was. She made our two day stay a memorable vacation.

We loved staying here during our brief stop over in Auburn on the way to Portland. Having spent the previous week hiking all over Acadia up north and Grafton Notch to the northwest, we were wiped out and in need of a quiet comfortable space to recharge for the night. The Inn itself is beautifully maintained and lushly decorated throughout with one of the most visually appealing, eclectic and layered art collections I've had the pleasure to take in. The rooms are spotless, beautifully decorated, spacious and include luxurious furnishings and thoughtful amenities. You will enjoy your fill of natural light, stained glass and quiet here. The inn keeper, Olga, was both personable and helpful when making recommendations for local spots of interest, and prepared us one of the best breakfasts I've had the pleasure to eat from locally sourced produce, including fresh porcini she had harvested herself. I only wish we had scheduled more time in Auburn, for I would have happily stayed at the Munroe Inn many more nights. We hope to be back next year.

This is by far a hidden gem.The inside is absolutely beautiful and gives you that feel of home. The owner of the Inn is absolutely fantastic, friendly and went above and beyond. Will definitely being staying here again.

Incredible experience. Our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful place. Very Warm and inviting. Ample parking. Olga was incredible. Made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was incredible. She explained all we needed to know about the breakfast and changed a few things up per our request. Would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back to see this beautiful place.
