It is obvious that the Motel 6 can't be a luxury resort and we wouldn't expect that. However, we do expect that rooms and all features inside are clean and functioning. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in our room left much to be desired. The bed cover had stains (Blood?) and had obviously not been washed in a long time. Also, offering a bed cover made of such a thin fabric during the cold season is very unfortunate, not only for your guests but also for the energy consumption in the Motel, as one is forced to let the heater run all night, in order not to freeze in bed. The floor was not clean either as hair (from a dog?) was found there. Despite we had a non-smoking room, it smelled smoky inside. Through the hallway wafted the smell of somebody cooking dinner. (in the guest room?) maybe the chairs at the TV table-unit could be replaced with something a tad more comfortable.
The good part of our stay was a very friendly front desk staff and a quiet night. The mattresses were quite comfortable also.

My stay was very pleasant. Front desk lady was very sourceful in helping me out with info. As well the rooms were extremely clean and well fixed with a nice comfy bed and pillows. I will definitely stay again there next time I visit Maine.

This place has issues... My first impression was poor. There was a large man loitering beside the front desk who looked my body down and up and stared at my luggage. There seemed no legitimate purpose for him to be there. The room was either very hot or very cold. I overheard later from the front desk clerk this was common in many rooms. Neither the interior or exterior door locks functioned as they should. The floor in the room was dusty and dirty which could be felt easily with bare feet.

I am so disgusted with this place. I left my pillows in the room and only a few hours after checking out was told no one had even seen them. Heavy down bed pillows in brown cases. Didn't see them. I called 2x a day for 3 days to see if I could speak to a manager or housekeeping and there was never one there. The last call I made I mentioned the frying pan in one of the windows, the grease smell in the hallway and asked if people "lived" there and if that was the housekeeping staff. I was screamed at and then hung up on. Customer relations in Ohio was no better. They are "not responsible" for items left in rooms. OMG it was the same day! He acted like I was making it up! The pillows cost more than the stay! The staff was unhelpful and rude. Apparently someone does live there or the desk clerk wouldn't have gotten so upset. Very strange place. I would have given it a 3 if this did not happen. Only because of the grease smell, the man standing with a lit cigarette and a dog at an unlock able door by the parking lot. Otherwise the room was relatively clean. I guess you get what you pay for. it was the only room available in the whole town because of the Patrick Dempsey Challenge. I will plan way ahead of time next year.

Nice and clean room. Appreciated the smoking room. It's way too cold to be standing outside. Felt safe and secure there👍also, pet friendly! Yay!
