An amazing place. We went on an afternoon on Saturday, but surprisingly there wasn’t a lot of people. The thing I like most is how the whole place is lit up by natural sunlight, it just makes everything looks so pretty. They have lots of seat. The decorations are awesome, its a whole vibe. Its the perfect place whether you need to study, brunch, or hanging out with friends. About the drink, I ordered the lavender earl grey and it exceeds my expectation. I am honesty not a huge fan of flower flavor drink, but this one just hit the spot. If you like lavender, definitely go for this one. I chose to have coconut milk which I think is a great combination. The milk foam, the taste, the decor everything is just on point. The price is pretty good too. The staffs are really nice and friendly too. Definitely going back some day, and next time I want to try their food
Really nice vegan place for any meal or a snack. the place is amazing all around with wonderful food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Prices are reasonable as well. It's my first time going to a vegan restaurant and I had a great time. We shared the jackfruit crab cake, the purple yam risotto, and the berry cheesecake between two people and we walked away with full bellies. The jackfruit crab cakes were crispy on the outside and a little mushy on the inside but still very good paired with the coconut sauce. The risotto is very flavourful and topped with a variety of vegetables. A very rich dish that was a little too salty for us but the waitress explained that they had a new chef. The berry cheesecake was the best sweet ending to the meal. It's very rich and creamy so I would advise sharing it with a friend. The place is very nicely decorated. All the plants draping down from the ceiling combined with the tasteful decor made me feel like I was in a fairy tale. Our waitress was also really nice and attentive despite it being rather busy. A wonderful dining experience overall. I would definitely drop by again next time I'm in Edmonton.
Very delicious plant-based cafe! I enjoyed the risotto which was accompanied by a healthy amount of fresh vegetables. My friend enjoyed the pad thai and the accompanying jackfruit crab cake. It was all very filling. They have a lovely drink menu as well. Very casual atmosphere.
5 Stars for food 3 stars for desserts One of the best Vegan restaurants I’ve been to. Innovative and creative menus. Loved the ambiance and decor, with lush plants and cool vibes. Welcoming atmosphere. The food is unique fresh delicious and extremely interesting. The crab cakes benny was sublime. Made with jackfruit and tofu, it’s a clever dish. They didn’t try to recreate an egg, that’s why I loved it. The moth cafe took a regular benny and turned it into an exotic vegan vegetarian dish. The purple yam risotto was yet another outstanding dish. Creative and light and tasty. Good textures and balance of flavours. Fantastic food. The tiramisu however let us down in comparison to its savoury counterparts. Dense and dry, lacking flavour and tasted stale. They have kombucha on tap, with lovely refreshing flavours. Would 500% recommend this restaurant for its wonderful food but maybe not for tiramisu. Great vegan restaurant in Edmonton !
The Moth Cafe with its sister Cafe Mosaic on the south side of Edmonton continue to serve excellent cuisine - Moth's menu is totally plant based and likely the only one of its kind in the city. Turmeric tea with macadamia milk presented so elegantly was absolutely yummy in both taste and nutrition. Jackfruit crab cake benny with coconut cream served with fries or salad is one of my favourite. The ambience is wonderful with lots of green plants including, a thriving banana tree which one day will bear fruit. Plant based diet is highly recommended to decrease carbon foot print and the Moth is definitely making a difference and grateful for all that they do..
Great atmosphere, I had the spaghetti. The meatballs were good and not too meaty. I got a cupcake for dessert and it was dry and tasted frozen, it was even cold in the middle. For $6 I'd expect a fresh cupcake, not frozen. Service was good. Fries were good. A bit expensive, even for a vegan restaurant. Vegetarian options: As far as I know everything was vegetarian Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs, not much on the menu that isn't spicy though so not much for kids to eat Parking: There's a parking lot with free parking Dietary restrictions: Vegan
I bought the Chickpea red curry, Moth burger and Crab cake all to go. The Omelette I had in-house. The food was delicious and enjoyable for everyone considering it does not have any meat.Atmosphere: 5/5
Love this place!! Edmonton has so many great vegan restaurants but this is one of the best! Delicious chai lattes, kombucha, and soda options, and the portion sizes are very generous. We got the burrito and the omelette to share and both were delicious. The omelette was even better than I expected. Best spot for vegan brunch!
We had the mellow yellow, the lucid lavender peppermint lattes, and the banana walnut loaf for takeout when we visited the Moth Cafe. Both drinks were quite good although my preference was for the mellow yellow. The loafs were also quite good. The combination of the drink and loaf made for a nice treat on a walk through the river valley.
Amazing amazing amazing!! That omelette was the best I’ve ever had and breakfast is my favourite food! And I stole a nibble of my nephews pancake which were ! Highly recommend!
