We went here for our anniversary dinner. The patio has such a romantic feel to it. The staff was very courteous and very accommodating of our request to take our pictures. They offered complimentary wine to celebrate our special day. The Baby germ salad was spectacular and the duck confit was amazing. We had two desserts, one with an orange sponge cake and other was a chocolate cake with miso cream... unfortunately don't remember the names. Both were fantastic. Very highly recommended.
Pleasant atmosphere in the composition! The lights were off, the music was not loud and did not interfere with the conversation! Great service, the waiters are very nice and happy to help you choose dishes! The cuisine is delicious, but there was nothing special! Prices are above average.
Loved their seasonal truffle tasting menu. It was like a movie, climax after climax. The ice cream was the highlight of the night. Talented chef. Almost all the managers and servers came and asked me how the food was. I was offered a booth after the manager saw me at a small table. The two person tables are too close to each other.
Went for the truffle tasting menu, the food is made with exceptional attention to detail and the servers make it all the more memorable with their warm hospitality and lively banter. Would highly recommend! Only taking away one star as I personally felt the portions were extremely small for the price!Food: 4/5
I have visited this location on two occasions and it was disappointing each time. I've sat on the patio and indoors, so the food photos are from both times. The dishes were nothing special, they were okay but nothing to rave over. The restaurant itself is really cute though and they did a lovely job with the decor and setup. Where they lost the most stars for me, is how slow the service is, we waited 45 mintues to receive a glass of wine and 95 minutes to receive our first appetizer, mind you they even forgot one of our dishes altogether...
Absolutely wonderful high end restaurant- definitely amongst the top spots in the city and I highly recommend it. We had a seasonal truffle tasting menu with delicious bites, wonderful pacing and truly amazing food execution. Our server was also really impressive - he had an incredible delivery style and was just a wealth of information about the kitchen, the menu and the wine styles we enjoyed throughout the meal. This place is worth checking out. Each person at our table came away with a slightly different take on what their favorite course was. For me, dessert was the highlight because it was a very atypical presentation. We had a rich savory dessert consisting of a custard ice cream with balsamic vinegar glaze. Unreal combination of textures and flavours. Don't get me wrong, all of the courses were great, but for me the surprise of the savory dessert caused it to take the number one spot.
It's got a great atmosphere but the food lacks complexity given the price they charge. I feel like I am eating lots of off the shelf potatoes based stuff that night. And the the two dishes; mushrooms and potato dishes came covering with similar white sauce. The chicken was good, but nothing special small portion for 40+ dollars. They also don't give you free bread either...and this is at a french restaurant, instead they charge you 7 dollars for it!!!! That is almost illegal at a "French restaurant" if you know what I mean. You are really paying for the services and the location which are great. We only book this place because we couldn't find other places last minute for 6, and I was worried we could get table of 6 so last minute, I then had suspicion on the quality of the restaurant
We had a beautiful dinner for a late Valentine's Day! The location is gorgeous with an easy-going upscale vibe. Great drinks, wine selection, and delicious food. Service was impeccable - thanks to Warren and Mike G!
Had Sat brunch there the first time. The place is beautifully decorated, exposed bricks, vintage lighting and hand painted wall with a comfortable rustic feel. Service was excellent and our waiting staff was very friendly. Not a busy restaurant as they only offer a set menu for $39. Maybe this is why they are not busy on a Sat. Would strongly suggest they offer a small menu of a la carte. The 3 appetizers were to share amount the 3 of us and each has our own main course. I had the braised lamb on a open sandwich which was very tasty. My son and wife had the sea bream which they love. Overall it was good experience. The wine list was extensive but like everywhere nowadays they are expensive. Worth a mention is their covered patio which we would love to return to try.
Hand down the best cocktail for those who prefer something sweet but strong. We waited around an hour for our food which was a bit long. However, we did get apologies from the waiters and kitchen. The food was moderate considering its high price. Nevertheless, the seating was very comfy and inviting. Overall, a good experience.
