Upon making my reservations online, specifying the reservation was to celebrate my anniversary. I received a phone call to confirm this, and was asked if I had any special requests for the occasion. I asked if there were any tables with views, and I was told there was one and this is where I would be seated. When my fiance and I arrived we were placed in the back of the restaurant near the bathrooms. There were fruit flies everywhere and the service was poor. We waited for the check to be collected, which never happened. When we brought the check to the hostess the waitress came back to process the bill and then acknowledged our anniversary. Sad that we spent our special occasion at the Melting Pot to receive this type of service.

The staff was beyond rude from the moment we stepped foot in the door. We then asked if we could switch our table to a booth because this table was like barely big enough for one person. They said no even though there were plenty of open booths the whole time we were there. We then waited an hour just for our drinks and cheese to come and everything was so so slow yet there were so much staff there. This is not the melting pot experience I had hoped and I will never go back to this location because going to a restaurant like this for the experience is worth the money but not the way they treated us there.

The melting pot is a unique concept with some amazing food. That said, I have a problem with how much food you get for the money you spend. Also, based on food quality alone, I would give this place a 4/5 but it took a very long time for the waitress to bring us food , and it took even longer for us to cook the meats in the pots. Not to mention that we spent a small fortune there. All in all, it was a good experience for my tummy but not my wallet. Although I can see why some people would love this place, I will personally not return.

My girlfriend and I decided to have a date night here after hearing others rave about it. Needless to say after hearing obnoxious comments from another waiter, receiving our salads at the end of our meal, having hair found in the prosciutto, 20 mins to get our drink order, and ending the night with upset stomachs, we will not be returning. However, they were nice to take the meat plate off our bill. Highly recommended attending another melting pot in a different location.

Don't Go. There was no hostess at the front of house. I finally took it upon myself to wander into the empty restaurant to try to find SOMEONE, the bartender said, 'someone will be with you shortly'...Then we waited...and waited...Finally a disheveled, out of breath, kind of 'ditzy' woman, shows up, almost exaggeratedly breathing heavily to demonstrate how in a rush she was [the restaurant was empty]. She was unprofessional, flustered, never greeted us 'ok, who was here first?' She finally got to us, she We were seated in nearly the furthest away table in the bowels of this seemingly cavernous empty restaurant. A short time later, our waitress showed up and TRIED to give us a primer on the menu. I say 'tried' because it was very obvious, by her almost inability to address our questions. We're not 'foodies'. We don't go to many many restaurants all the time...but it was so obvious, even to folks like us, that she was trying to guide us to the most expensive meals and up-charge every second. It was more obvious once we deciphered the menu ourselves. But it was too late, we had already placed the order, and there won't be a next time. The meals were VERY VERY over priced and frankly not good, and, as I say, we are not snobby foodies. The pricing is not debatable. The opinion about the tastiness of the food may be, at least in part, the product of my never having had a 'fondue' main course. The cheese course was good. The dipping elements were good but not great. The cheese was very good. Just not a sufficient amount of cheese and the heat was too high, sticking the cheese to the side of the fondue bowl more than to my food. The salad portion was actually very good. The main course was ok. We chose the coq au vin cooking broth and the $50 per person four course meal with the main course covering a bit of beef, pork, lobster, etc... And although each element of the main course was pre-seasoned differently, the fondue cooking broth resulted in everything tasting the same, even ending up all looking, the same grayish purple, to the point that once couldn't detect the difference between lobster and a potato. But wait, it doesn't stop there!...The utensils were caked with dried cheese...that is, BEFORE we started using them. We ordered tea...it came nearly cold...there was no sugar or spoons brought with them...after asking for more hot water or the tea heated up...it never came. Not until I asked for water that she said, 'oh, ya, your tea is in the kitchen, I'll get it.' I said, never mind. Just the water please. The bus-boys were annoying, every 90 seconds coming buy saying, 'can I take that.' They clearly had not enough to do. They were very nice though. We asked for a box for the leftovers...it never came until we asked twice more.We were then given the chocolate fondue menu. There are a nice number of choices. Some with nuts, some with caramel, some with your choice of liquors. Again, she was not able to answer even the simplest of questions, like 'What is Chambord and Tuaca.', optional add-ins to the chocolate along with Baileys and Grand Marnier, for one of the menu choices. I told her I knew what Baileys and Grand Marnier tasted like but I didn't know what the others flavors were. She left to find out...but then came back having choosing for us the Baileys...and still not knowing what the flavors of Chambord or Tuaca were. I couldn't figure out that weirdness!! Then the dippers were weird too. Why would you want to dip pound cake in boiling chocolate and watch it disintegrate the try and fish it out. We get the bill...after she sold us on the $50pp four-course special by telling us that everything is included...we get charged $6 extra for the cooking broth and some weird $9 'special event' charge. When asked about it, she said it was the cash registers fault, and fixed it...nope...worst $100 I've probably EVER spent at a restaurant.
