The food and atmosphere speaks for this establishment. The small details that go (intentionally) unnoticed to the casual observer are a testament to the proprietor and his incredible commitment. Today was a perfect example. His sidewalks were shoveled and swept clean before any others and long before he was set to open. Bob takes care of all the details and the consistent experience proves it. What a gem!

Excellent meal and terrific ambiance. Great for going with friends or for a more intimate occasion as well. I had the duck which I greatly enjoyed. The torte we had for dessert was very distinct and I enjoyed it though it might not be what some would expect in terms of flavor profile

This is definitely a must-go place. Loved the way Charles served us (he has been there 30 years). Warm bread. Fresh greens. Zesty dressings. Awesome sauce with steak. Good service. Nice cozy ambience. Overall - great experience.

Simply wonderful! The food was delicious. The atmosphere was charming and inviting. Absolutely loved the desserts. A quick escape from the usual Providence restaurant scene. Pricey, but a worthy splurge for a romantic, relaxing evening. Best duck I've ever had!!

Always fabulous food service and ambiance. Very tasty French onion soup and warm bread continuously brought to the table. House made dill potatoes a favorite side. Steak frites 26.00 and chicken was 18.00. Very reasonable for the quality and downtown location
