Dinner and Drinks!!! Ive eaten at the map room many times. Its always good, and a nice place to chill. It would have been 5 stars, but the service was a bit lacking tonight. The food on the other had was great! Keep up the food quality! will be eating there again!!
Small, cozy, hidden gem in the heart of downtown CR. Stopped by for lunch on a weekday; service was terrific, there wasn’t a long wait for our meal, and everyone in my group raved about their sandwiches. I’m not normally a fan of unorthodox condiments on burgers, but these were exceptional. I love Indian food so I took a chance on the Delhi burger, and I was pleasantly surprised - the curry and mint chutney was a perfect complement, and didn’t overpower it at all. Highly recommended!
Oh my goodness... What an AWESOME burger. The reviews don't mislead... This place is awesome. Had the Lima Burger with Indian potato salad. YUM!!! Chad behind the bar was awesome, a nice blend of people hanging out, and a great atmosphere. My first time in Cedar Rapids has definitely been highlighted by eating here. Gives me an excuse to come back. Parking: Parking lot nearby and a very short walk.
The Map Room is very cool! It is decorated with maps and globes of course and it looks great! I really like the old and unusual maps on the wall. The staff is great and the food is very good. It is not very big so you might have to wait if they are busy but it’s worth it.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Stopped in by myself for a late lunch while out running errands. Grabbed a quick grilled cheese with fries and it was delicious! The staff were quick and friendly! I hope to enjoy this place again in the future to try something else!
This spot is really different as far as burgers.. None the less very good.. The staff was helpful with the menu & it was dollar off can beers. I had the Bill Street burger. Pulled pork was amazing & tender full of flavor.. The salad had an amazing ginger balsamic dressing. All said & done it was a great choice for lunch!!! Also, they had a great drink menu as well..
Driving through town on our way south and found this place via Google for their gluten free options. Wife got their Montreal poutine style fries and I got the Springfield burger with the gluten free bun. We were both impressed very good food and great service. Very small inviting environment with a variety of specialty burgers and sandwiches, very impressed with their GF buns. Will definitely be back to The Map Room when passing through! Vegetarian options: Have vegetarian options Parking: Street parking that was readily available Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options
Lunch stop. Good food and the service was solid. 2 of us ate and both meals were very good. Outdoor seating could be better but it was nice to sit outside on a beautiful day.
First time here over lunch break with some coworkers. I'll definitely have to go back to try the many different burger choices they have. The chickpea salad was also delicious. I got the Omaha Burger - not too heavy, it was very good. Outdoor seating was great for the day we went as well. I'll definitely be back!
I had the El Paso burger with Cusco fries and both were absolutely delicious! I felt like they did a good job of capturing the flavor of El Paso. The worst part about this place is that you have to choose one burger when they all look so delicious. Service is excellent too!
