Such a cute piece of history! The food is always so good! They treat you like family. The atmosphere is always pleasant. Amanda waitress is wonderful. Just a pleasant sweet soul. Steve the cook is great! A lot of the food is made in house, Brian the prep cook takes such great pride in his work, always makes the BEST biscuits and gravy. You can tell that he really cares about the food and sauces he makes. Trust me, you just have to go and see and taste for your self! Your senses will NOT be disappointed!
Great authentic diner in Bainbridge Island, with great food options and friendly service. All of the dishes were very tasty, as were the coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Some seating available outdoors too, although the booths inside are very cozy!
was visiting the island with my mom and stopped to eat here for breakfast. First time dining, we unfortunately had to rush to catch a ferry and the staff was extremely accommodating! Made our food to go, put our drinks in cups with lids and straws. We were well taken care of for needing to change plans last minute. The food is amazing! We had the Crab Benedict, do not sleep on their hollandaise sauce. The sprinkle of paprika on top was the perfect addition. Can’t wait to come back here and try more menu items. I love the feel of family owned, well loved places.
What a cute place and if you enjoy history, ask for the brochure pic posted. We came here for breakfast. Not much parking and not many seats, so try to come at times that aren't peak dining times. The dungeness crab benedict pictured and Pork Belly Hash also pictured was amazing. Service is quick and friendly. Super casual environment.
Pros. So clean, from the parking lot to the ceilings. Friendly service and very good American diner food. Had the chicken fried steak, filling and taste great. Appreciate the ramiken of jam as opposed to little jam packets. Getting seated when there is a wait can be LONG. Understaffing is an issue all over so can’t complain too much but….
This is definitely the best to get breakfast or lunch in the Bainbridge island township. The service was extra friendly and accommodating of our family - kids activities for our 5 year old and extra vodka in the adults bloody marys. The menu covered the bases well with seafood incorporated. We were very happy with our dishes and the large portions. I would encourage other visitors to walk that little bit further to dine here!
The universe sent us here yesterday morning! We had a great experience! Chef owner came and took our order, a few things were out of stock but he made some great suggestions. Food was excellent.
Great atmosphere and great service. The food was was good. We had breakfast which is standard breakfast fair. I have the corned beef hash and my wife had the chicken fried steak. Both really good.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Real food - Real good! Friendly, helpful, disabled accessible!!! And we were blown away with how neat and clean the place was for being a retro diner. Nothing greasy spoon and about this gleaming chrome beauty.
Oh, my god!!! I am so impressed by their food. The best fries ever. I ordered a steak burger, which tasted great too. I think I will come back next time if I visit the island again.
