Our server was so sweet and helpful! She made sure all of our requests were met and checked on us throughout our time there. My mom is vegan, but my siblings and I are not. Sometimes it's very difficult to find a place we can all enjoy, but luckily this restaurant has a full vegan menu! One of the few places we've been to that is able to accommodate this. And the food was delicious! Will definitely come back next time we're in town
Awesome!, Diner atmosphere with lots of local art on the wall. Had the Gyro skillet for breakfast and it was delicious. Gotta try the blueberry Coffee cake it is a breakfast in itself. Check out the pictures. Clean and very friendly.
Searched for “diner” and this place was number 2 on the list. Decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised and happy about the decision. Came in around 10:30 am and had Jose as my server. Wonderful person and very attentive. Wasn’t slow in the restaurant but wasn’t busy either. Coffees was awesome. Ordered some French toast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage with a blueberry coffee cake. Their have 2 types of French toast - thin or thick - and I got the thick. They also offer pure maple syrup for a small charge. Everything was of better quality and tasted great. The stand outs were the bacon and blueberry coffee cake. The bacon was fresh and was crispy. Most blueberry coffee cakes have a problem with being too moist. To my surprise it was not and was absolutely great. The coffee cake it cooked perfectly without being too dry and the little drizzle on top sets it off. I recommend trying this place. Looks super small from the outside but has much more room on the inside. They also have art work on the walls that are for sale on behalf of the ‘Aurora Art League.” Maybe buy some art while you eat.

This diner is tucked away in a corner and easy to miss but one that you'll want to take the time to find. Great service and great variety. Even dedicated VEGAN and GLUTEN FREE menu! You don't find that everywhere! There is something for everyone and you'll enjoy it!
We have been coming to this place at least 1 weekend a month since we moved to Naperville 2 years ago. We are breakfast people and we were trying to fill the void of our old favorite spot… well, we found our new one! Every visit we have the staff is outstanding, the food is delicious, and there is hardly ever a wait longer than a few minutes to clean up our table. They are always busy but never make you feel like you are not valued there as a customer. We love The Lucky Penny and recommend it to everyone we know in the area.
They have a regular breakfast menu and a fully vegan breakfast menu. This spot is a great option for vegans who have non-vegans in their lives they would like to dine with.
Great place to have a bite. Their donuts are a must have! I had chicken n waffles that was just fantastic. Definitely will be coming back. Staff is friendlyFood: 5/5
Plenty of parking, very clean, a lot of seating. Food was really good, fresh. Restrooms are clean. Portions are plentiful.
I never leave reviews for places but I had to for this place because I am honestly shocked. It is so hard to find fairly priced, delicious vegan breakfast food around here and this place checks all of my boxes. My order was very fairly priced, it was so delicious, it was still super hot when it was delivered, and so filling! The portion was generous and I’m just truly amazed. Please keep these vegan options because you will have a fan for life!
