All thing’s considered, we had had a pretty great experience today at the Egg Harbor Cafe. It has a great ambiance. While the decor is a little dated, the place has a quaint feel. It feels cozy even when it’s super busy. Our service was great, with our waiter being attentive, but not intrusive, and quite pleasant. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. What’s good was great and what was a little off ended up awful. For instance, my egg white omelette was hot and delicious, the pancakes were light and fluffy, and their homemade jam and Eggs Benedict were top notch. Conversely, the “cream” of chicken soup, while very tasty, wasn’t really cream of chicken soup. It was more like chicken noodle. Again, it was tasty but my expectations were set for something different. And the potatoes they serve with almost every entree were absolutely terrible. They were luke-warm, tasted old and flavorless, and are honestly one of the worst things I’ve tasted in awhile. That said, the pros far outweigh the cons and we’ll definitely try this place again. If you want a sold brunch, with good prices and excellent service, this is the place. Just don’t get the potatoes!
My husband and and I stopped here for breakfast. The restaurant’s decor is pretty dated. Surprisingly the food is good. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I ordered a steak skillet with pancakes. The steak was tender and cooked just right. The pancakes were delicious. My husband had a skillet as well with ham, sausage, and bacon. He seemed to enjoy his meal. The only reason I gave the place 4 stars is because the restaurant needs to be renovated.
I just moved to the states and the first place my wife recommended for brunch was Egg Harbor, she's been been there on multiple occasions, and surely enough it's one of the best places that serves breakfast/brunch I've had! I had chocolate chip pancakes, tuna sandwich with avocado, potatoes, eggs and some turkey bacon. The decór was nice and cozy, the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back again. On the side note tho, I experienced this strange smell not sure what it was but it was unpleasant. I would recommend lighting up a few candles. Other than that, I loved it!
I’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast and brunch. Their menu has so many options , so you definitely can find everything you want and more. The wait time can be a bit long in the weekends, so my recommendation is to either come early or plan to walk on the river walk right across the street and super cute! while you wait. The food and service are good, just wish the atmosphere and dining room was a little more updated/less chaotic.
Me and my boyfriend went to brunch today here for the first time ! We recommend the tortilla soup, tons of good flavors. I was so happy with my choice of my build your own skillet ! Delicious and I was literally shook of how tasty it was ! Strawberry orange juice was very refreshing .. we are definitely coming back. Our service Kendal was very nice too : gave us good recommendations.
Today we came to this cafe for breakfast and I really liked it. Both the coffee and the omelette were delicious. The service of the staff was very good.Food: 5/5

This was my first time at the Naperville Egg Harbor, I’ve been going to the Geneva location. I had ordered the Sweet potato skillet for pick up, and was not satisfied. The sweet potatoes were halfway cooked, couldn’t bite down on a majority of pieces. The eggs were fully cooked when I asked for over-easy. And I picked up early when it supposedly said 35-45 and I got there about 25-30 mins at the location. I went inside to ask for my order but none of staff was greeting and not asking “how can I help you” or whatever they needed to do to help their customers. I saw my order get to the counter and I grabbed it. But didn’t get a text notification until 40-45 mins after, meaning my food would’ve sat there getting cold if I wouldn’t have shown up at the time that I did. The Geneva location has better food and I have not had a bad experience so far.
Great food, had option to join waitlist before we got there and only had to wait 2 minutes for our table.
