This was our second visit to this restaurant/brewery this year and we went on a Saturday night. The selection of food and beverage is great! I recommend the stuffed mushrooms and the burger which is a patty made from 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 bacon. I really liked the chili as well on a cold evening : They have beer to go and the service was great! Our server Dakota had a great attitude and made us feel right at home. We did have about a 30 min wait but were able to hang out in their attached tasting room to sip beer. They offer flights so you can taste everything in small portions. Highly recommend!
Awesome experience. We had a large group, they seated us as quickly as they could and worked with us on getting orders in quickly. Thank you!! Food was delicious. They worked with me on a food allergy, were super helpful in deciding what might work and it was great. Beers are very varied and all quite delicious. Servers were friendly and helpful. We will look forward to our next visit!
We’ve really enjoyed our times here. Always great service, tasty beers + lone Buffalo is great food! And just have to note that this past time we visited there was an exfoliating scrub in the bathroom that was just above and beyond. Who thinks of that? It was such a nice touch. Always a good experience. Wish there was more outdoor space than just street seating but they always take good care of our dogs such a great spot for being right downtown!
Loved the food, service & vibe here! Got the chicken wings, pretzel plain, & beer can nachos. Everything was yummy & so were our drinks & Tangled Root Brewery beer. The booths by the large windows are spacious & have a great view of the street. Will definitely return when we’re in town.
Beautiful atmosphere, great staff, and super delicious food! It was so good that it made the other half of our group jealous and we came back the very next day! Steak and Frites are delicious, along with their mac and Caesar. All the desserts are a win, want to come back just to explore more of their menu!
Was lucky enough to find this place as I was traveling through Google maps. Stopped in for lunch and also picked up some beer to take home for friends. The music is at the perfect level, not loud and you are able to talk in a normal voice without being loud. Great food and beer choices. They also have a tasting room, and upstairs area with comfy seating, and a private room. Lots of opportunities to host events at this venue. Can’t exit to go back with friends.
Stellar experience. Best service this side of the Illinois river, home of one of the best burgers I've ever had cease & desist burger & top tier beers. The location is great as well with plenty of space and soaring ceilings right in a historic downtown building. Highly recommend visiting!
I love this place! What a gem hidden in the small community of Ottawa. Inside there’s a big city feel. Trendy, hip, stylish, but not pretentious. Relaxing and pleasant atmosphere with plenty of good beer selection on tap and excellent food choices for pairing. My fave beer was the SUBJECT TO CHANGE BATCH 8 HAZY IPA. My Chocolate cake paired well with the DOBROY NOCHI RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT. Check out the Tasting Room and the beautiful upstairs lounge and the adjacent private room that can be rented out.
Tenisha our bartender was amazing! So knowledgeable & so much fun. Such a beautiful place. They had so much knowledge about the brewing process and it's equipment. Absolutely enlightening! Can't wait to do wine testing.
I have been to many places, but none like this. Day trip to Starved Rock turned great as the sun peeked out and pushed the temps to near 60! Already satisfied, my wife and I said, let's have a dinner at a local place and the lone buffalo came up as an option. Well , we came , we saw, we ate and drank and by golly, we never enjoyed food like this before! Service is a 10! Food is unmatched and might have magic or crack in it, probably both, Craig the manager might now. But just wow! Wow,wow,wow,wow, that's our review.
