The Keg Steakhouse + Bar

My friend invited me to the Keg to celebrate my birthday. We have ordered couple foods, the size is great. I have to pick what I left after meal because I am keep in diet. Even though the regular size dishes are enough for most people. For the waiter who served us, he is very kind and helpful to explain what the menu showed. I really like seafood, and the Keg provides lobster which my favourite dish. If you like a date or romantic place, here we go.

We had a hit and miss experience. We came to visit to have a date night before flying out to a tropical destination to be married. It was a very special day for us. We were seated in the bar while waiting for a table. Eventually a table in the lounge came available so we decided to take it. Unfortunately, the server we had in the lounge was very inexperienced. We were asked numerous times for clarity on our drink order which was not complicated and our drinks didn't arrive. We had an appetizer and our server didn't come by to check on us. We ended up having to ask to be moved to a table in the dining room and from there we had a much better experience with a very good server. Brett Management did their best to rectify the situation by providing complementary drinks but the problems were not over yet. For some reason our previous lounge server brought out our meals and failed to recognize that one order was incomplete. One of the meals 2 tail lobster dinner only had one tail on it and a missing side. Thankfully, our new server immediately recognized the problem and corrected it. For the price point and reputation of The Keg, our experience on our special night was extremely disappointing. Although we had great service for the remaining half of our experience, we can confidently say that we will not be back.

Customer service was great and the meal was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent and the waiters were amazing. The food was awesome and the kids enjoyed every bit of it.

Great food. The quality is always consistant. I should also thank the customer service for proving a great customer experience. It is a must visit restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Delicious I ordered Chicken it was juicy and so delicious it has vegetables on the side and baked potatoes with sour cream. My husband ordered a steake it was delicious too. The place is so nice and romantic perfect for celebrations and dating, has other casual side too.Recommended dishesBlackened Chicken

Wayyyy overpriced. Service was very friendly and adequate, though they are definitely trained to rush you a bit. Ambiance is rather generic, though the bathroom is clean and nice. My favourite part of the meal was the warm bread at the beginning, which was great. I had the blackberry daiquiri - good. We started with appetizers—calamari and escargot—which were fine, but nothing particularly noteworthy, especially for the price. The biggest let down was the main course. My partner had the filet mignon, which was overcooked unacceptable for a steak house of this price range and oddly shaped for the cut. I had the lobster tails $44, which came with no butter or seasoning of any kind. Just two frozen tails plopped on my plate that I could have gotten at the grocery store for $10. The sides were even worse. The mushroom rice is one of the blandest things I’ve ever tasted, zero seasoning, even the onions tasted like nothing. I can’t believe this is a regular side. The asparagus, similarly, had zero flavour. Just some oversteamed stems flopped on my plate. If the meal didn’t cost $150 for two people, I’d be more gracious. Thank gawdess we had gift cards that covered it. There are an infinite number of restaurants in Saskatoon with better food and pricing. Save your $$$. Now I’m going to attach some good photos that make the joint look better than it is.

I can not say enough good about our experience this evening. Our waiter Parker M was just absolutely amazing. We had a large group for an anniversary celebration. He handled the 10 of us perfectly. Made all of us feel listened to and gave great recommendations, he recommended the crab and steak and it was delicious. My drink was also amazing. Just can’t say enough pleasant things about tonight.

We always get amazing food and service at the Keg. Tonight our server was Bryson R and the service was beyond top notch. Attentive but not overbearing, anticipated absolutely everything and we felt like his only table. clearly we weren’t as he rushed by with full plates constantly. I highly recommend asking to be seated in his section when you make your reservations. Thank you Keg for another delicious Birthday celebration.

Great service! Food was amazing, but I wish there was more sauce on the Brussels sprouts and the salmon. The margarita was okay.
