The atmosphere was pretty good, but the dish I had ordered wasn’t especially to my liking. I visited for a friend’s birthday dinner and had the eggplant parmesan with pasta on the side. The restaurant offers complimentary house salad, but I thought that complimentary bread might have been better. Just my humble opinion.
The food was actually incredible, and I quote "the best pizza I've ever had in my life" we tried the cheese plate which was good, but the real highlight was the entrees. We got the pesto pizza and butternut squash ravioli and they both were so well done. The only downside was that it was pretty slow service. Overall the staff was super kind and helpful, they even did a show with a big cheese barrel and the lobster pasta. Dietary restrictions: Gluten and vegetarian options
We ordered take out for our Friday dinner, food was great especially the Pesto prawns, cooked to perfection. The chicken Parmesan was ok too. Food is 4.5 star. But the service for take out, wow, it’s awful, 1 star for service. The girls were just chatting away, didn’t bring out my order right away, I ordered online, and I arrived after the time that they said it would be ready. I saw 3-4 people arrived after me got their food and left. I have to ask the girl at the front to check again so that they will bring out my order. They also didn’t have the best attitude, I just felt like they don’t want my business. I understand it’s hard to keep staff these days, but giving customers attitude, that just not acceptable. I hope that was a one off incident, because we like the food.
Main dishes were somewhat bland. I had the chicken parmesan and it was OK. Cooked well but not very flavourful. My wife had a pasta dish with shrimp that was also bland and only had 4 shrimps total in it. The shrimps that were there were very good though. Cheese starters were fantastic, restaurant was nice, live music was good. Service was hit and miss, attentive in bursts with other long waiting times. It took 15 minutes after asking for the bill to get it. I got my first water refill that finished during the cheese starters when I had already finished eating my main course. Overall more of a 3 star experience but for almost $30/plate we expect more.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I had a fantastic experience. The ambience of the restaurant is welcoming and fun. Our server was super helpful in giving honest recommendations for her favourite dishes and was helpful in our selections. We were there for happy hour, so we got great deals on drinks and pizzas. We started with a cheese board- a fun experience to pick a few cheeses. When the board came, the presentation was great and it was delicious. We had the beehive and don't tell nonna pizzas. The toppings were delicious and the crust was really good too I'm normally not a crust fan. For dessert, we enjoyed delicious cannolis. All in all a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back.
This place is great if you want Italian food in the Langley area, You definitely have to come here. Big portions Big flavors That pasta is I highly suggest getting it I got it without chillies That's the first calzone I ever had it's like a big fresh pizza pop. The pizza tasted amazing and the ambience is great.
What a hidden gem in Langley. I've heard about this place from a few friends and glad I got to finally try it. The Cheesebar was a fun and unique experience, so make sure to try that. Affordable wines on the menu and lots of food to choose from. They can also cater to dietary needs and added whatever meat or alternative to any dish you wanted. We got their Lamb Ragu, Shrimp pizza, chicken parm, and a truffle pizza, as well as a cheese plate. They also have a great selection of deserts. I'll be back for sure!
Was not expecting such a dark atmosphere. We ended up using our phones to read the menu. My food was okay, dry in sauce for my taste but my husband loved it. We swapped food and I liked his. A friend recently went and said if your food is dry you can ask for extra sauce so I may try this next time!Food: 3/5
Best pizza place It made me that I’m in a pizzeria in Italy. As I’ve eaten a pizza everyday during travel, here’s dough way more better than normal pizzeria in Italy. Dough - is just perfect. Other foods are also good as well. But, YOU MUST TRY PIZZA IF YOU VISIT HERE *serious
Our server ruined the full experience for me. Tonight was not a busy night and even with the snow, we still made it to our reservation to celebrate our day. Not only our server was too conservative to smile, she took a while to clear our plates, give our bill, check to see if we need more water and so on. We love the food. Perhaps will redeem the rating next time we are back if the service is better.
