After five years of coming to Mangia E Scappa I can say I’ve only had fantastic experiences. It is a great family run European restaurant with very good Napoli-style wood fired pizza, pasta dishes and desserts. The relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff always make you feel welcome. Ideal for those who love authentic Italian cuisine and want a relaxed dining experience. Don’t miss out on the patio in the back and the Italian groceries and deli! This restaurant is a real little piece of Italy and the best kept secret in Fort Langley.
This place is such a vibe! After having been to Italy, I find that a lot of restaurants let me down, but not this place! Live jazz music, a wonderful server who made the evening complete with his Italian accent and to die for food. I can not say enough good things about this experience. 100% recommend! The bonus is that it is in Fort Langley! Go give them a try and do yourself a favor and order their prize winning pizza!
My personal lower mainland favourite! Highly recommend the pizzas and calzones, dough is fresh and the crust is crispy. I absolutely love the interior of this place as well as the patio in the summer. Owners and staff are great people devoted to their craft. Fresh ingredients with a very consistent experience from visit to visit. They even have a little store where they bake their fresh breads and offer Italian “groceries” and ingredients for food. 10/10 must visit when in Fort Langley.
A hidden gem, great spot for family reunions or date night. Cozy dining room and private rear patio. Food is fresh and high quality but the dome pizzas are exceptional. Prices are on the higher end side but with their service and high quality ingredients it’s worth it.
Y’all. Despite the gas prices, I will gladly drive all the way from Burnaby on a weeknight just to get more of this food. We had the prosciutto crudo pizza and it tasted very authentic Italian My partner is Italian and we’ve visited many times so take our word on it!. It was baked to perfection and very well balanced with quality ingredients. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. I can’t even think of any place downtown Vancouver this good. Then we had the pistachio pesto pasta with shrimp and it was exploding with flavor, pasta perfectly al dente I noticed someone on here saying the pasta should have been cooked longer, I think she just doesn’t know authentic pasta is supposed to be eaten al dente!. If you don’t like your pasta al dente you should probably let your waitress know. The charcuterie and cheese board could have been better for the price $26 but that’s really my only complaint and I don’t think it warrants removing any stars from this review. But if I were the owner I’d either lower the price, or add more quality meats and authentic Italian cheeses to it. The picked veggies were fantastic though! I can’t wait to go back here and try more of the pizzas and pastas!
Fabulous place for good wood fire owen pizza. Quite busy over the weekend, must reserve your spot beforehand. Tried veggie options Funghi, Compagnola and Quattro Formaggi. Many good vines were available by the bottle only, limited options by the glass Good staff
Food was great! Servers were nice.. My only concern, the dining area was too hot! I suggest you request an “outside” table.
I really recommend this place to dine in. My husband took me for date night and the food and the service was just amazing. Marta was our server she did great job. Amazing place. Do try smoked salmon fettuccine. Super yummy
Good Italian restaurant, I was a little hesitant at the beginning, a couple of misspelled Italian words on the menu always make me think it's not authentic but it is! We had the calamari fritti and they were crunchy and not greasy. My husband had the gnocchi with gorgonzola, prosciutto and walnuts, very tasty and creamy, I had the fettucine al nero di seppia, highly recommended, the pasta was cooked right not overcooked...chef is clearly Italian and the sauce was creamy and delicate. I will try the pizza next time!
Love the authentic Italian wood fired pizzas, and shopping in the Mercato! From dine in to take out the food quality & service is excellent time and time again! Highly Recommend!!! Visit and experience a taste of Italy in the heart of Fort Langley BC
