Owners Doris and Tony Sensenberger have opened the second member of the Iron Skillet family! The Iron Skillet 2.0 features fresh cut steaks, seafood, schnitzel, Tajine and of course all your favourites from The Iron Skillet Collingwood

Story

The Iron Skillet 2.0 provides a dining experience that takes fresh local ingredients and old school basics to the next level for everyone! The warm, inviting, atmosphere features a nautical salute to Collingwood’s ship building history, with fantastic fixtures and plenty of local, historic photographs, making Iron Skillet 2 the perfect place for your next holiday or family gathering.

I live in Collingwood and have been at this restaurant when it was the Reef and Beef and it was enjoyable. I work away from home through the week and decided to take my wife out for dinner as I wasn't home last Wednesday. She chose the Iron Skillet 2.0 as she thought that it would be good. IT WASN'T. She called for a reservation for 6 30 pm on Monday evening and was asked if we could come earlier as they were closing at 9pm. This should have been a red flag. We arrived at 6 30 and the 2 staff were running around and confusion about who was going to seat us ensued. As soon as we were seated it was like they couldn't take our orders fast enough. Kept pressuring us about what we wanted to order. No chance to sit and enjoy ourselves. If I wanted fast food...I would have went to????. I don't think that I will go back. It wasn't an enjoyable evening.

I have driven by this probably 20 times during visits to Collingwood, as its not quite in the same area as other restaurants in the town. I wanted to make a point of stopping there as id heard good things, and I can say ill make a point of going back. I had the schnitzel on a bun and it was fantastic, fresh and flavorful and came with the best homecut french fries i can remember having. Highly recommend.

Fantastic schnitzel at a reasonable price. They have a great selection of beers and a wide variety of whiskeys, burbons as well as other bar rail.

I had the Yorkshire pudding with roast beef. It had no flavor at all. My wife had the jumbalia it was warm at best and she had three bites no flavor at all and the sausages tasted like jumbo hot dogs 75 dollars wasted should have went to Wendys

Excellent steak and fresh squeezed lemonade was a great treat on a hot summers evening. I highly recommend.
