Wow this is the best curry chicken I have ever tried. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and full of flavour. The rice was fluffy cooked to perfection. I also had the coleslaw which was a great creamy accompaniment to the food. So happy to know I have this authentic Jamaican food close to home. I can’t wait to try all the other items on the menu.
Jerk chicken, rice and peas? YASSSS, PLEASE!!! first time in for quick lunch take out been craving this in my mouth & belly and have to say it was satisfying. Coleslaw could use some touch up or upgrade flavours but hey can't be all too picky when the main crave is the jerk chicken Friendly staff and quick wait, good portion too I say yum to this jerk
I come here to buy my favorites, fried chicken and jerk chicken! Prices are fair. Always a yummy dinner every time Will come back to try their stew chicken and oxtail.
Honest review In terms of quality fall off the bone jerk this is one of the best I've had. However chicken was lacking taste and needed more flavor. Meal was somewhat bland. Hot sauce was good. Not too hot but had some kick. Proportion was ok, for large I was expecting a little more but not enough to really complain about. Service was great. Would I come again? Maybe - I feel like I wanted more flavor / taste to give me the itch to come back.
Curry Goat combo with Beef and Red Pea Soup. Goat was tender and had excellent texture. Not too many bones. The rice was cooked just right without being too dry or too moist. Curry flavour was excellent without being overpowering. Soup was full of flavour with lots of fresh vegetables and beef. Food was so good that I ended up overeating and didn't want any of it to go to waste! Good value and quantity! Highly recommended!
So delicious! We tried for the first time tonight and it didn’t disappoint! The food tasted very fresh and flavourful. The chicken is not too spicy, just right for me personally! We had the jerk chicken and stewed chicken dinner, both with coleslaw and festivals. The festivals are the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the coleslaw great! The portion sizes are HUGE! Will definitely be returning.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Highly recommend. The best Jamaican good in the city by far. Must try the jerk chicken poutine and the jerk pork and rice. I have been looking at recipes on how to make oxtail gravy..... Eat in or take out. If you eat in they have a relaxed environment with great music.
Very solid option. Does what you want Jerk chicken to do. Chicken was very tender and exploding with flavor. The rice was cooked correctly and properly douced in gravy. I would have given 5 stars, but the beef patties were relatively generic grocery store patties.
Not worth the price. 16.50 for a dried up chicken leg that had no jerk seasoning.
Fantastic sums it up. Restaurant is clean, food is fresh and delicious, will definitely return. You can tell a lot about a restaurant from the washrooms and you could have eaten off the toilet I know a little gross but you get the point here at 3pm in the afternoon. Whenever I go to a small little specialty place mid afternoon I'm always worried the food is just the noon reheats, but the food was so fresh and hot tasting i felt like it was made right then. Delicious, not too hot or over powering, you can tell they marinade and don't just compensate with sauce. I had the jetk pork with rice and peas and the jerk chicken roti. Everything was fantastic. I saw one bad review but when I clicked the profile they only had 2 reviews, one for another Jamaican place that was raving and one that was bad for here, impossible and after having the food I can see it was fake. Thanks!
