This is going to sound like a plug for The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch, but that's okay. These people work hard. The cabins are roomy and the bed is to die for; one of the most comfortable ever. Think of the Hilton with a larger room and a view of the moon rising over Wyoming. The meals are as good as anything you'd find at the finest restaurants in Minneapolis. There is a Happy Hour before dinner every night with first class hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Everyone made our stay as rewarding and pleasant as possible. Super nice people in every way - even the guy mowing the lawn gives you a big smile and a wave. We go to ride, ride, ride and we get plenty of it through some of the most beautiful country Wyoming and the Big Horn Mountains has to offer. Last but not least, these people take great care of their livestock! They view their horses as members of their team and treat them that way.

One on the most amazing experiences! The owners, chef, managers and wranglers do everything to make this the trip of a lifetime! One or my bucket lists must do and now I have been to The Hideout 3 times! The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. 💕

Really the best of the best. I'm an accomplished esquestrian and took my daughter (former rodeo champ) on a girls' week. Great people, fantastic horses and the scenery is really jaw-drappingly amazing. The facilities are comfortable and high end, food is terrific and the overall experience is a let's-do-this-again type. I'm looking forward to joining the ever increasing list of repeat visitors. They take great care is this horses and this is definitely not a nose-to-tail staged exeperience.

Well as they say, " this was not our first rodeo". Given that, if you simply will not settle for second best, The Hideout should be your destination. From the first welcome to the last breakfast and our reluctant goodbye, the service was seamless and excellent. All the staff were adaptive to every need, and managed our stay beautifully, exceeding our every anticipation. 1. From our first contact with Rebecca and Amanda, we were professionally and politely informed, directed and supported in setting up our 6 day visit and we never lacked for information to help us plan our very enjoyable stay from beginning to end. 2. The Chef, Sheena Ernst, is Cordon Bleu trained, innovative and delighted us at every meal with her preparations and presentation, right down to the cocktail hour snacks and luncheon sandwiches savored on the trail rides. 3. The riding string is excellent and extensive, with mounts for every ability and riding experience. The head wrangler, Tom, evaluates each rider and matches him or her to an appropriate mount (I very much thank Tom for Gandalf, he was and excellent mount and fine companion for my 5 days and many happy miles of riding). 4. The Hideout offers Blue Ribbon trout fishing in season and I greatly enjoyed working with their staff and the catch and release fly fishing for native trout. 5. Our cabin was extremely comfortable, beautifully appointed and quiet with stunning views of the horse paddock and mountains. 6. We are already planning to go back to help with a fall drive of the cattle down out of the high mountain pastures.
