Good event space. Lots of parking in area. Make sure you pay though because parking authority always roll through when there is an event.
Love this gym. It's never packed, the staff is super friendly and the space and classrooms are huge. There isn't anything this gym doesn't have in terms of equipment and types of classes. Highly recommend. Prices are also reasonable considering the extent of the facilities.
I am glad I found this gym. It's probably the most affordable gym in the liberty village area. I joined because I wanted to get back into power lifting. I wouldn't say it's a great lifting gym. However it has all the basics needed with 2 racks and 2 benches. They don't usually have enough clips, and I often have to spend a while looking for 2.5 lb plates because I think there are only 2. They could keep the place better cleaned and organized as well.
Nice gym, older building but has an interesting character. Good equipment. Not too big. Not pushy to sign up or get personal training. Liked my experience there. They might be moving as the building will be torn down for the condo.
A decent gym that is never too busy but has also gone really downhill. Nothing gets fixed anymore, including equipment, mirrors, the ever-leaking roof, AC in the studio, etc. I've heard it won't be around for much longer so I guess it's not worth the repairs. Staff used to be more helpful too. Now it's apparently expected you scan your own card and get your own towel.
I have been to 20+ gyms in Toronto and this is the worst among them. Here's why: - The building they are in is not meant to be a gym, it feels like a labyrinth when you get in. The rooms are mostly disconnected and not organized well. - There are only two squat racks. Only one full rack. The rest of the equipment is mostly falling apart, dusty and looks like it's not maintained at all. The weight plates on one of the pulleys stick to each other and drops down halfway in the air, probably haven't been maintained after they're purchased - The gym looks dirty and dusty. I haven't see a single staff member during 5 hours I spent on the floor, nobody seems to care. There are some positives too: - The gym is not very busy. - It's pretty much the only alternative in the area, other than GoodLife, which is more crowded, but significantly better facility than this.
A great and more affordable alternative than the always-packed good life in Liberty village. Equipment is old and some clearly need maintenance but overall is a decent gym! Staff is nice and friendly
The gym can use some work for sure but it has everything you need and more. Love being able to use the bags in between classes and the weight room is well equipped. The womens steamroom has been broken since I joined and that was definitely one of the selling points I was looking forward to.
I've been going here for over a year and it just keeps getting worse and worse. It's like they've given up. Every room has some sort of damage to it that they aren't fixing. Today I asked when they'd have their AC working again in the main studio and the manager told me "never". The piece is apparently too expensive. Never is not the right answer. I mean, at least lie to me and say they you're saving up for it. When I asked if there would be discounts given for the inconveniences she said "working out in there is a preference, you don't have to." When I signed up it was working, now it's not. Why did I sign up if that were the case? It's also where they hold all their bootcamps that, while I enjoy, I can't continue doing in the extreme heat. Aside from the AC, the change rooms have constant water damage and the sauna is constantly breaking. The soap is barely ever refilled and half the change room lockers don't have doors. Yes, this is a discount gym and it has the machines you need but Planet Fitness is cheaper and isn't falling apart. If you're still inclined to check it out make sure they give you a tour and pay close attn. I honestly use to like working out her but it's just fallen to shambles and instead of fixing it they're just letting it rot with you in it.
I love this gym. It's by far the #1 alternative if you're nearby. Serious gym-goers and newbies feel comfortable and welcome. Non-pretentious but also accommodating to those who go hard
