The Great Outdoors: Junior Outfitters is the largest outerwear, accessory and footwear store just for kids in all of Western Canada. We carry only the best outerwear brands in sizes 6 months to 16, which you will find at our large retail location in Bridgeland. Parents love to shop in our store while their kids play in our kids only toy bus area. Our friendly, down-to-earth knowledgeable staff will guide you seamlessly through your purchases. We understand that each customer has different needs and we are only there to provide the product you need to keep your kids warm, dry and comfortable.

I have been shopping here for 10 years and the service has been amazing every time we go. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the products they carry. By far the best place to buy outdoor gear for kids in Calgary.

The place to go for all the gear you need to be outdoors with your little. The staff is so knowledgable and their customer service can’t be beat. This is the only place we go when our son outgrows his outdoor gear.
Always come back for their expertise with children. I have looked for shoes and outdoor gear in other stores and my kids end up in tears rolling around on the floor with me looking on exasperated. Here, they know to keep things simple. They ask you what you need, they show you the best options and then they bring out two choices for your child. They carry excellent brands so you know you will be happy with the choices no matter what. In and out with new shoes for the kids in under 10 minutes.
I don't buy much new for my toddler, but the few times I've needed outdoors items, these folks have been very helpful. Great selection, and very helpful. Prices are in line with other retailers brick and mortar or online. Easy to spend more than you planned!
The ONLY shop for quality and technical kids gear. Sheila helped us and is excellent at sizing and determining our needs. All the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are great and they currently have a huge sale section. Nowhere better for quality footwear, mitts, and snowsuits. They also have an incredible selection of sunglasses for kids and some good options for adults.
Every time I visit this store, or email them questions they always offer the best advice and knowledge and go above and beyond. They are so customer focused, offer great products for kids, I keep coming back. I also love supporting a local small business!
This store is our family's favorite place for shopping gears for my kids, sometimes even for myself. The service is excellent as always. They pretty much see my kids grow from the very beginning. My most recent shopping experience was getting winter boots for my son. They helped him find the perfect size and style and my son was super happy. Thank you for being so awesome with the kids.
Sheila is the best here! I will wait for her to help me every-time! I had one experience where I wasn’t super happy but that was the only time Sheila didn’t help me! I buy all of my kids outdoor gear here abs know I’m always getting the best stuff!
