The best fresh soft bagels with the perfect crunchy exterior covered in a plentiful amount of toppings. You know it’s good when they almost sell out before closing each day. The staff are extremely personable and kind and add that extra bit of care while preparing your food. They also offer a large variety of flavoured cream cheeses prepared in house with the addition of seasonal flavours like pumpkin spice in the fall.

If I could give no stars I would.I have gone here for many years and go out of my way to come to this location and I have found it very disappointing. For along time came here knew the staff well.All of a sudden all the regular girls who waited on you were gone. Today when I asked for a bagel to be remade because it was burnt the owner very rudely lashed out at me and told me I was a "complainer". In the past I've had the wrong bagel made; but have continued to give this place business. I've asked that they use a clean knife that has not come in contact with meat because I am a vegetarian and try to be; clear and concise when I place my order. There is no need to talk to customers rudely by raising your voice or by being verbally demeaning. After reading other Google reviews I can see I am not the only one who feels this way.

amazing bagels. Love the sesame & poppy seeds bagels. Very fresh & tasty! As a newcomer to Canada this is one of the best things I've had till now.

I would like to give this place a 5 star, I have been going regularly everyday for a few years now. I ordered my first online order and fully paid for it to have walked in and been told to pick 4 new bagels due to other orders being fulfilled 'first come first serve basis'. Others have agreed with me that if it's paid for it should be reserved and saved for the person especially when the order was placed three days prior to pick up. I privately emailed my concern to the owner and didn't hear back which is very sad.

Great tasting bagels! Don't really go to this establishment on a regular basis I thought it was a good idea to pick up some bagels from a real bagel place on Thanksgiving weekend. Arrived around 11:00 AM and they were depleted on all, ok most of the bagels. I was told there were more coming being baked looking around I could see I wasn't the only one going to be waiting. I don't want to pretend I know how to run a bagel shop, but I just can't assume being a holiday weekend wouldn't it make sense to prepare **MORE**!?‍ Again, there maybe a simple explanation. Although I was contemplating on leaving, just wasn't worth the wait! Other than that, as I mentioned, GREAT TASTING BAGELS!

Great food and bagels, HOWEVER 4 out of 5 times they don’t have vegetable cream cheese or cheddar herb bagels. I’ve begged and pleaded with them to make more but literally the last 5 times I’ve called/went in they don’t have either of these. Also the coffee is undrinkable watery and gross I really do like the people who own it and work there though, I just wish they would give the people what we want!!

I have been a loyal customer here for a long time. I love their bagels. However, they just lost a customer based off how the lady who cashed me outs attitude was. She was extremely rude. I kindly made a suggestion and she had a horrible attitude about it. Sad as I love this place but she shouldn’t work there with her attitude.

Found this bug from my veggie sandwich really disgusting. Not going back that's for sure they have great bagels but they have to maintain food quality properly

I just came from great Canadian bagel and got 6 bagels and dill cream cheese. Last time I had a very sad blt! Barely any blt. Giving it another chance. Keep you posted. So i just toasted half of my cheddar jalapeño bagel with dill cream cheese. Tasted delicious a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Improvements: add more cheese and jalapeño since we customers are paying extra for your super bagels. Tasted delicious! Next time I'm going back to see if they have improved on a blt . I have to finish my 6 delicious bagels first but for sure I'll be back for a delicious blt bagel.

The great Canadian Bagel is the BEST bagel bakery I have ever seen, I have NEVER had a bad experience here, I love the salsa bagels specifically!!!! I will never stop going here and supporting them no matter what. This shop is truly 10/10 stars the staff is extremely friendly! I can’t say much about the owner but the business provides a unique service to the entire Oshawa/courtice/bowmanville/Whitby community and there is no one like them anywhere near here. I truly hope the business does not suffer due to allegations put forward by a former employee which is a conflict of interest. Employees are not allowed to submit reviews on google about the business they have previously or currently work in. All In all this place is amazing and deserves your business as they strive to bring you high quality and excellence through and throughout the bagel industry. They make Tim Hortons look like a dumpster. Thank you Great Canadian Bagel for Having amazing service and food!!!
