The Gem

It's a cute and very typical small bar. Nice place on the cold winter nights to keep warm and hang out. In the summer the patio is really nice and open and you can even have dogs out on the patio with you. You can tir your bike up really close by so it's pretty easy. Not always the best of food and not always the best selection of beers but it's your local and cheap place nearby! Recommended!

It was a warm evening, bartender hands me a warm, not cold woodhouse lager, I asked for nachos, they came as chewy as a beef jerky. The atmosphere was as cheerful as a funeral, Yo! Where’s the music? I wanted to adopt this as my new hangout … can’t believe blog TO named this a good date night spot, it is cute, But the food and ambiance kills it

Quaint little bar on Ossington. Staff were friendly, loved the atmosphere decor and music the nachos were some of the best nachos I’ve had in the city! And they came with guacamole and retried beans!! I will come back for sure!

Ah...The Gem. When you go to this bar you can't expect anything fancy. The service isn't great.its friendly but you're not going to get a fancy cocktail made with a premium whiskey here. Even if they had the right booze you'd probably have to mix it yourself. The food is pretty good. It's a dive bar with a quirky personality and decent prices. When I arrived today the only server was napping inside and that didn't seem wrong at all. If you're coming here it's because you know it and you know what to expect. The Gem is The Gem. I hope it's here for a long long time.
