Story

In our continuing efforts to provide local naturally raised Ontario products The Friendly Butcher sources out small family run farms that do not use steroids, anti-biotics or hormones. Our farming partners are in Georgian Bay, Stratford, Allister, Simcoe County, Haldimand County and Bruce Peninsula, our beef is all Angus and has been aged 30 to 50 days. Our Dorset lamb is “set” for 5 to 7 days resulting in tender cuts. Ask our friendly staff any questions about these practices or any concerns about the feed, housing and treatment.

At The Friendly Butcher, we are extremely passionate about food. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff strives to share their knowledge about our great food. We believe in the food that we sell and the impact that it can have on an overall quality of life and a healthy lifestyle. At The Friendly Butcher we understand that you are becoming more and more aware of the risks of unhealthy eating habits and are beginning to consider what you eat very seriously.

When you visit our stores, we are happy to give you seasonal meal suggestions, cooking tips, and advice to make your meals some of the best that you have ever had. I was driving by this place so i decided to give it a shot…and i’m glad i did. I tried some fillet mignon and grilled it on the grill and the griddle stove top. The meat was very tender and juicy. Loved it. Will definitely try it again to try other items.

Week 1: try product Week 2: make bigger purchase Week 3: set up weekly pick-up  You won't be disappointed! From a great product at an affordable price to friendly staff, would highly recommend.

Best meat and best bbq sandwiches in toronto, hands down!  If James Brown is on the bbq you know you're in for a treat.  Highly recommend this place.  Do yourself a favour and get the korean steak sandwich or the chicken club.  Thank me later 

I love this place; I buy almost all of my meat/chicken here --  always fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly; nothing is a problem for them. The sandwiches from the bbq are addictive. Their prepared foods are also great, especially the pulled pork, salmon and cabbage rolls. I am so glad to have this store in my neighbourhood

Visited this butcher twice recently. Not so sure about the "friendly" part in the name. The steaks were acceptable with minimal marbling. And claimed 40days dry aged steaks were lack of the beefy/aged flavor, at least they were tender.

Best sandwiches in the neighbourhood, often come to grab lunch here while gaming at Games Workshop and it's really worth a shot when their BBQ is opened!

These guys are the best! Owner runs a tight operation, the selection and quality is awesome! Been my go to butcher for about 3ish years and it's a little far from me but well worth it 

The name doesn’t lie. The Friendly Butcher is the nicest shop around. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, they take the time to get to know you and your family and to help with your shopping. The food is exceptional from the fresh meats to the prepared foods. And they carry a variety of brands you can’t get elsewhere. The catering is also great when you don’t have time to do it yourself. And it’s a great place for lunch. Honestly, it’s the only place I go to buy meat. It’s an exceptional family owned business who make their customers feel like family!

Fantastic neighbourhood butcher shop. Ken & Donna are great. I get a lot of my meat for the smoker here, as well, they have a great selection of pies and frozen meals. The Honey Dijon chicken off a charcoal grill is crazy good.
