Story

The Forsyth is Kingston's boutique b&b. #1 B&B in Kingston on TripAdvisor and recommended in Vogue, Business Inside, DuJour and many more, the Forsyth offers an artistic, casual-chic ambience in a carefully restored 1830s house. Each of the four guest rooms feature a carefully curated mix of modern and classic furniture, as well as beautifully appointed baths. Enjoy seasonal, locally sourced and expertly prepared breakfasts by the French Culinary Institute-trained innkeeper, served by the fire in the elegant dining area, on the porch or in the charming courtyard. Our event barn, seating 60, opens September 2017.

Just two hours from NYC in historic Kingston, the Forsyth is a little gem filled with books and art. Star-gaze from the porch or find a hammock in the courtyard. Stroll just one block to the Strand, for shopping and fine dining.

The Forsyth is the best B&B we have ever been to. Our family stayed here the weekend of our wedding. We actually rented out the whole house including the apartment the owner lives in. Tamara has redefined the word cozy. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and a cross between rustic and modern. The bathrooms have been fully upgraded. The common areas are what we hope our home will look like someday. The breakfast is wonderfully unique creating a special experience for guests staying together at the B&B. Not to mention, the food is perfection. We had some of the best breakfasts in our lives during our stay. The scones and cookies that Tamara makes are unreal. The backyard is so relaxing during the day or night. I highly recommend you stop reading this review and book immediately.

Wow what a fantastic B&B...great rooms, baths, beds, linens, and hospitality. Oh and the 3 course breakfast featuring local products and cooked to order was wonderful. Tamera is a natural hostess when it comes to hospitality. Great location for exploring the central Hudson Valley.

It was wonderful staying at The Forsyth this past weekend. It is just beautiful and incredibly well designed! So many gorgeous touches everywhere and lots of space to relax and unwind like the upstairs reading area with the refrigerator stocked with drinks, and the sun drenched porch, and that great living room. I really had no desire or need to step outside although it was also wonderful to see the gorgeous waterfront and the nearby shops and restaurants. So utterly peaceful and a great place for a walk and a view of the fall leaves. And on top of all of this the breakfasts are over the top delicious! Lemon ricotta pancakes melted in my mouth and the scrambled eggs are the best I've ever had. I will be returning soon!

I stayed in this charming B & B in January. The Inn itself is welcoming and comfortable with wonderfully appointed rooms. Tamara, the Hostess, makes you feel right at home. She is very knowledgeable about the local area including places to visit and eat. She made my visit special. I will definitely be staying here again.
