Story

Hey guys my name is Colleen and I'm super pumped to be opening up my business in the town I grew up in. I have been a hairstylist in Sherwood park for 16 years and now my dream is coming true. My fiancé and I are spending the next two months renovating The Factory Hair+Body! We will be offering all hair services as well as spa services. Such a bad service. I had super healthy long hair and they did not do what I asked for. I hate my hair now. Biggest mistake of my life. I have my birthday in one week and it is ruined.nnI recently visited with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I specifically asked for layers and emphasized that I did not want any thinning. To my shock, the stylist took a large chunk of hair from the crown area and cut it much shorter than I wanted, leaving it barely longer than shoulder length.nThe result was far from what I had envisioned and communicated. The layers were uneven, and the overall cut made my hair look flat and lifeless. It's incredibly frustrating when your requests are ignored, and you leave the salon feeling unhappy with your appearance.nnThe lack of attention to detail and disregard for my preferences was very unprofessional. I would not recommend this salon if you're looking for a stylist who listens and understands your needs.nnAdding before and after pic.
I just came back from the factory after having my hair absolutely butchered by Madison. I thought my previous haircut there by Bianca was bad but this one was even worse. What’s worse is I’ve been going there for years now and never had a men’s haircut this terrible. I wish I could post a picture of what my hair looked like two days ago and what it looks like now.nnJust an update I got a call from the manager of the factory today and she explained to me that I should be happy I got a free terrible haircut. That I should not have been upset yesterday because my hair got butchered by Madison. Maybe the manager is right I should have been thankful for the resources I won’t expend in that I can use less shampoo and conditioner. Thankful that I no longer need to spend time combing my hair as it is so short. Thankful my hair won’t take as long to dry now. Attitude reflects leadership and if this is the managers attitude I get why the employees are like this. Do not go there in my honest opinion and this is from a regular customer for over 4 years now
I have been seeing Bianca for about two years now and I am so happy! I was nervous initially have been getting my hair cut and coloured by a family member for 15+ years and she made me feel so relaxed in my first appt and ever since. And the trust we’ve built! I have been blonde almost my entire life and I trusted her to take me red, which is pretty huge for me! Thanks Bianca!
So happy with my appointment at the Factory. Michaela was amazing. Super accommodating, gave my little girl the cutest cut, and I am so happy with the cut she gave me. Been a long time since I've had a salon experience i was this happy with. Michaela at the Factory is my new go to, for me and my girls : Thank you!
I went to The Factory Hair +Body today for my first time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly face and smile. The front desk girl kindly asked to take my coat from me, which I thought was a nice touch. The atmosphere was great, an rustic/industry look, all the small details were there and add to the environment. It was a great first impression.nNow, into the good, my hair stylist was Amber DiGiuseppe, very friendly down to earth with an amazing attitude and energy.nShe was engaging and easy to talk, almost like I have known her for years.nShe took my dark iver processed hair bleach to dark to permanent dark and made it look beautiful and light for the summer! Her talent is amazing, to be honest I was beyond impressed.nGo to Amber if you need any color correction/ regular hair needs, she is truly talented.nI have already booked for my next appointment.nThanks!
