Located on the waterfront in downtown Sechelt, the Driftwood Inn is perfectly situated whether you are visiting for business or pleasure. It is only a short walk to downtown shopping and other Sechelt services and amenities.

Story

With an incredible view of Georgia Strait and across to Vancouver Island, the clear ocean waters invite summer swimming off our pebble beach. A paved community pathway allows for leisurely “sea-walks” along the waterfront.

Choose from 28 comfortable rooms, some with balconies where you can watch the sunset and listen to the waves lapping on the shore.

Our in-house Pebbles Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. While the menu selections tempt the palate, our restaurant’s spectacular ocean view nourishes the soul.

Our Salish Sea Room is perfect for business meetings or social gatherings for groups up to 72 people theatre style.

Amazing location so convenient for everything.nnBut the rooms are not only old and dated, but my room was not clean. There was dirt and dust bunnies that I could see in behind the end table, dirt piles under the furniture, and old soap in the tub.nAlso a lack of available power outlets everywhere, + the TV provider sucks. The TV is very glitchy and seems to be constantly refreshing or something.nnThey leave this little thing in their book about how they're trying to be environmentally friendly, but provide a Keurig coffee maker? What happened to the good old days of a regular coffee maker and biodegradable coffee packets?nnSpeaking of kitchen, the refrigerator is on its last legs, and barely kept my food cold.nnThere is no one working the desk between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., which is a bit inconvenient if you lose your card key or something. The lady that checked us in was nice enough, but clearly the housekeeping doesn't give a crap.nnSo low stars for cleanliness and amenities, but once again an amazing location.
Absolutely disgraceful. The room was filthy dirty throughout. Not to mention the man at the front desk, being rude and insulting to us. Some of the comments state that it’s basic. It’s less than basic. There is a lot of work that needs to be done at this facility in order to even bring it up to standard. I’m surprised that they even get the health inspector to approve being open.
Yes, the building is old, but the staff went above and beyond for us. We got a waterfront family room with a separate bedroom with spectacular ocean view. Beds comfy, new pillows and comforters, and towels. The room was clean and air conditioned. The price was reasonable especially since it's right on the water.
We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was very well worth the money . We were given an early check in as well as a late checkout as soon as we asked. Karen on the front desk was a really helpfull and friendly person who even gave us a plan to explore in Sunshine coast. The motel in general might need some renovation work however the rooms were in splendid condition and very clean. It was in great beachfront location and really easy to get around Sechelt from the motel. Definitely a top spot to stay on Sunshine coast which is worth your money. Would 100% recommend
Washroom needs a bit of work, old building, tap was loose and a little deep cleaning will work better. The room needs some soundproofing, kind of noisy when ppl walk by.
