Shift Kitchen Tapas Bar

I recently dined at Shift Kitchen & Bar in Sechelt and was blown away by both the quality and quantity of the food.nnI ordered the Karaage Burger, fried dill pickles, and upgraded my fries to poutine. The Karaage Burger was absolutely packed with flavor. The chicken was charred to perfection, giving it a delicious smoky, slightly burnt flavor that paired beautifully with the kimchi, pickled cabbage, and house-made mayo. Every bite was balanced and satisfying.nnThe poutine was also fantastic. The rich gravy, cheese curds, and savory umami flavors came together perfectly and kept me coming back for more. The fried dill pickles were another standout. They had this incredible smoky flavor that I couldn't quite figure out, but it made them unique and incredibly addictive.nnWhat surprised me the most were the portion sizes. I was dining alone and the servings were so generous that I ended up taking home nearly half of my meal. Great value for the price!nnThe food arrived incredibly fast—less than 10 minutes after ordering—and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and engaging throughout my visit.nnDelicious food, generous portions, fast service, and reasonable prices. Shift is definitely a place I'll be returning to.

I rarely ever write reviews, but this place deserved one! The food had so much diversity and yet was delicious in its fusion style. The owner, Desmond was kind and friendly. The staff were attentive and polite. And the food was good! A bit on the pricey end, but that's 2026 for you! The ambiance was lovely and the music just at the right volume. If you're visiting, put this place on your list of restaurants to eat at! And if you live in the vicinity, go out and support your local business!

This place is under rated! The food was excellent - fresh, great quality, and filling. I had chicken souvlaki which was super tasty. Friends had the lettuce wraps so good and the tuna on avocado, which I would say is a must. It's a small place, so I would say make reservations and don't be a large group, but do go by. I thought it was better food than some of these higher end restaurants in Sechelt.

Had a great experience here last night. We came in to town a bit later In the evening and we needed a proper wholesome meal. Additionally we had some specific dietary restrictions, and had 3 children with us.nnThe staff at Shift was very accommodating, polite, and patient with us. They answered all our questions patiently and ensured we were satisfied before placing our order. The food was delicious, Souvlaki was the highlight well presented and cooked to perfection. Prices were fair and not inflated.nnWe also were given some recommendations of places to visit on the Sunshine Coast.nnOverall just an amazing service experience where all the staff went above and beyond. Cant recommend this place enough - check it out.

I came to this restaurant three or four years ago and then I went again tonight and I had the best meal I’ve had in years. The frazzled prawns are absolutely delicious. The value for money was exceptional.
