Story

Welcome to the Basted Baker! Found in the heart of Sechelt on the popular Cowrie St, this local Bistro/Cafe is sure to have something for everyone. Always serving homemade, fresh, delicious, unique dishes where diners can come daily to see what the rotating menu is serving up! Alongside is the cafe of always freshly roasted Pallet coffee, epic Espresso shots, yummy baked goods on display and an all day buttery Biscuit menu. Front & Back patio seating available. Parking in the back. Weekend brunch menu in effect.

My partner and I were visiting in Sechelt and this place was a place with raving reviews that we wanted to visit.nnI ordered the poutine which was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of food. It tasted fresh.nnMy partner got the veggie biscuit sandwich and they also loved it, the biscuit was delicious and everything tasted very fresh and well blended together.nnOur drinks also were fantastic. The iced maple latte is a must try! Not too sweet and just enough maple flavour.nnWe will absolutely be back when we visit again.
The best brunch ive had in soooo long. The pulled pork benny and Poutine were honestly the best. Another great one is their house sauce. It is tooo good to miss. Definitely be back!
The smoked salmon Benny is great, but the side cube potatoes are below standard in my opinion. Other food is alright. If you are just passing through town and want something to eat, I would recommend it, but I would not rate it as a destination place.
This little brunch spot is honestly one of my favorite places in this town. If you’re looking for really good baked goods and coffee, this is definitely the place to go. Everything feels freshly made, and you can tell a lot of care goes into what they serve.nnThe staff here are super friendly and welcoming, which always makes the visit feel extra nice. The space itself is beautiful too very cozy, artistic, and relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you naturally want to slow down, sit for a bit, and actually enjoy your coffee instead of rushing out.nnEvery time I come to this town, I always find myself coming back to this café. It’s become a must-visit for me, and I genuinely look forward to it each time. There’s just something about this place that feels warm and familiar. Great food, great coffee, great people, and a lovely atmosphere this little shop is one I really love and will keep coming back to.
I had the Hash Bowl and my BF had the Bacon Jam and Halloumi Benny and we both LOVED IT! The biscuits that the Bennies are served on, WOW. They have some gluten free options, like the Hash Bowl, but no substitutes for the bread options just FYI. What a great business idea too, super quick and efficient, order at the counter and they call out your number when it's ready and come and serve it to you at your chosen table, or takeout.
