Story

Welcome to the Basted Baker! Found in the heart of Sechelt on the popular Cowrie St, this local Bistro/Cafe is sure to have something for everyone. Always serving homemade, fresh, delicious, unique dishes where diners can come daily to see what the rotating menu is serving up! Alongside is the cafe of always freshly roasted Pallet coffee, epic Espresso shots, yummy baked goods on display and an all day buttery Biscuit menu. Front & Back patio seating available. Parking in the back. Weekend brunch menu in effect.

God Bless the Basted Baker.nThe Food is absolutely AMAZING, take out OR dine in!nI got the Burrito Bowl yesterday and had to HAD TO come back. We got the basted baker hash and we feel on cloud 9.nLou was extremely patient and accommodating to our allergies and went out of his way to remake a dish for us .nNeed I say more?nGod Bless the Basted Baker
Simply put, the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had.nnIt makes me sad that my hometown favourite from my teen years Michael’s Off Main, Courtenay has been dethroned, yet excited I can continue to get the new top choice.nnTheir unique take with a fresh, moist, tender yet crisp biscuit is the star of the dish. The house made bacon jam and melted halloumi, with fried tomato, was the icing on the cake. Everything about the Benny is executed perfectly, both the egg yolks had that ideal jammy consistency, and the hollandaise was creamy yet not heavy.nnIf I had to critique one thing, the oven roasted hash could have been a bit crispier, but when topped with their house made spicy ketchup it didn’t really matter.
The staff were warm and welcoming, the menu had plenty of delicious options, and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Thank you for the great service & keep up the fantastic work!
Didn’t think I would enjoy the food that much since I’m not a fan of poached eggs but I was wrong! Everything about my meal was great but a little messy so I opted to just eat with a fork and knife! Definitely get a side of hashbrowns too they are great!
We stopped in here for brunch on our first day of vacation - what a great start! The food was probably some of the best brunch I’ve had in BC. Prompt service and plenty of seating.
