The Dash Group - Certified General Accountant

Approximately two months ago, We booked an appointment with Dash to get some advice in regards to accounting and tax advice for our small business. At the time of booking there was no mention of a base fee or hourly rate for such an appointment. It was not mentioned when we arrived, or when we sat with the consultant. The consultant asked us many questions and typed slowly, and dodged answering the questions we had come with until after lots of casual conversation and in hindsight, I now see why. At the end of our meeting the consultant said "you know I have to charge you right?, my rate is usually $150/hr. I was completely shocked and the staff did not seem to care that we were misinformed. Our appointment was approximately 1.5 hours long...when it could have been 45min. I feel like we were tricked and would not take my business back for that simple reason.

Not sure how they compare cost wise but they've done an excellent job on our taxes every year and found things other accountants had missed.

Never went due cost. At least 50% more then the quotes I received from similar firms in Spruce Grove. For an extra $150 I'll drive the 7 minutes to Spruce.
