One of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed at! You can’t go wrong with choosing a site, they’re all beautiful. Clean and well stocked pit toilets and firewood for sale at the camp host site cash only. Awesome camp hosts too!
Great clean campground! The riverside sites are large, and the vault restrooms are always clean. Thank you to the AWESOME camp hosts, my family and I felt so safe, and the host even helped me with my air mattress issue!! We will come back here more often!!
A lot of portables and running water. The river was nice as well. Don't go for the hiking, because the trail isn't long or great. It's less than a mile and ends at a road. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table, though my was pretty eroded and part of it was missing. My site was big, a bit uneven, but most seem to be. It was pretty quiet, even with no vacancies. Wood is readily available and costs $8. Make sure to lick up some old man's beard and flint and steel for the experience. Amenities - 4 Campground - 4 Hiking - 1
Very nice campground! This is right off of the 410 heading to Mt. Rainier. It is considered to be in Snoqualmie/Mt. Baker territory but this campground is 45 minutes from Sunrise Visitor Center at Mt. Rainier. Crystal Mountain resort is less than a 10 minute drive from this campground too! Ample space for setting up your tent. Extra vehicle charge is $8, so bring exact change for this. Heads up: pesky birds and chipmunks like to swoop in and see what's left of breakfast, so just be mindful of that. I recommend leaving your trash in your car overnight. No showers, and vault toilets only. Enjoy the old growth, and views and sounds of White River.
Nice campground among the trees. $20 a night. Vault toilets. Allegedly potable water, good for washing but not recommend for drinking unless you boil it first. Lots of road noise and occasionally other campers shouting to be heard over the music that they decided everyone in the campground needs to hear. Too shady for my solar panels, but a nice campground if a bit noisy with the road so close by. Popular spot, in better weather it must be difficult to find a vacancy.
Good, relatively quiet spot, and a great launching point for activities at mount rainier and inside the park. Trying getting a spot on the back side near the white river.
We loved this campground. We had a river spot which I'd highly recommend trying for rather than the highway side. The highway sites are literally right on the highway - so pretty loud. There were firewood bundles for sale at $8 each, and the toilets were nicer than others we've used. There was a slightly steep access trail to the river between sites 34 and 35 we were at site 35 which was really nice to have we were the only people down there the entire weekend. Our only "complaint" was that the RV lengths noted on the website are NOT accurate. We have a 17 ft trailer, 21 ft with the front and back beds expanded and we JUST fit - the website states 45ft max. This site was easily the least accommodating for a trailer on the river side - nearly all the other sites had a nice flat, long pad at a good angle. But live and learn - we know which sites to reserve for next time. We will definitely return.
Nice campground between the river and hwy 410 it is much quieter on the river side of you have a choice
This is a USFS campground managed by a contractor. Nice separation between mostly level campsites. Lots of tall trees and shade without much underbrush. Some of the sites on the river side have steep eroding banks drop to the river.
Checked this place out while it was closed for the winter, There must be a elk in the area because we found a full carcass. Some of these spots back up to the highway and would be super lame to get stuck in one. The nice sites are after the turn in the loop on the side closest to the river. It has water and what looks to be vault toilets but they were locked, also there is no electricity and almost no Verizon service.
