Story

Owner Susan Kret invites you to experience something she has been ardent about for over 30 years. Susan has a very valuable gift, allowing women to feel fantastic about themselves by truly believing in providing a passionate experience. Susan Kret is highly committed to the community she serves, and in doing so, supports numerous foundations, fundraisers and charitable events.
Every person needs to have a hair salon where they know they will be looked after with nothing but the utmost care and professionalism.

the Cutting Edge is a warm and inviting establishment. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making sure your stay there is as pleasant and as satisfying as possible.

The senior stylist that took care of me was again, very friendly, very knowledgeable with hair and hair care. She walked me through what she was doing with my hair every step of the way. As a man who has decided to grow out his hair, it took me a while to find a place that knows how to handle as well as understands the needs a long-haired male is looking for. In my case specifically, I came in with the goal of maintaining length but having it cleaned up (dead ends, sideburns, etc.) And as a first time hair grower as well as the first time getting a proper salon treatment in nearly 2 years since I started growing my hair out, I am more than satisfied with the end result.

The only thing I can say about the Cutting Edge is that I booked an, as far as criticism goes, is that I had an appointment for 6PM but I wasn't able to go in for the trim until just past 7PM. I understand it can get busy but it was a little long. But as I had the time, I decided I was OK with waiting it out. And again, the staff are wonderful. I'm sure any future visits, I wouldn't have to be delayed for that long again.

So in short, if you're a dude with long hair (or short hair for that matter), the Cutting Edge will take care of you and treat you right and create a result that you will be very happy with.

Sheri is an amazing hairstylist!! She is very current in styles for my short hair. All staff very friendly and make me feel welcome every time.

I had a very good experience at the cutting edge. My cut and colour were done well and didn't take too long. The girls were very knowledgeable and were able to give me exactly what I asked for. They both listened to what I was going for and made it happen. The only thing that I didn't see coming was the cost. On their website the cost for cut and colour is $137 dollars - no where does it say "$137 and up". My cut and colour that I would normally never pay more than $120 for cost me $220 not including tip. Two girls worked on my hair so I had to split the tip between. It's of them.  This was the only thing that bothered me. They were really good at trying to up sell but having already spent $80 more than I was expecting to there was no way I was spending another $50 some odd dollars for a conditioner or any other products for that matter.

Always great service! Mackenzie is the best! Don't have to keep trying to explain what I'm looking for; just give her an idea and she executes well! She is very professional and knows how to treat your hair well (so it doesn't get damaged). Love that they are always on time and I never feel rushed or that they are taking too long with my hair! They are a bit pricy though and don't like that they try to upsell products you don't really need (which they haven't actually used on your hair).

Mackenzie is really great. First time experience today and she is absolutely great well spoken respectful knowledgeable courteous and beautiful lady who did what I actually wanted out from my hair
